This my first post I shared in TravelFeed Community. I thank the community for importing the Pinmapple Map to TravelFeed Map. I will soon import my previous Pinmapple posts to it.

The weather in Istanbul has been very hot for about a week. I can say that we have made an early and rapid entrance to the summer season. On a day when the weather is this hot, it is necessary to go to a waterside in the forest or to the sea to cool off. I think the sea season has not started yet and the sea water might be cold, seems I will try it soon : )
İstanbul’da havalar yaklaşık bir haftadır çok sıcak olmaya başladı. Yaz mevsimine erken ve hızlı bir giriş yaptık diyebilirim. Havanın bu kadar sıcak olduğu bir günde serinlemek için ya ormanda bir su kenarına ya da denize gitmek gerekir. Deniz sezonun henüz daha başlamadığını ve deniz suyunun da soğuk olabileceğini düşünüyorum, yakın zamanda deneyeceğim gibi : )
Since it was obvious from the weather forecast that the weather would be this nice on the weekend, we made plan on Friday evening. This time, we decided to go to nearby Ozan Creek, our second favorite place in the Şile district of Istanbul, and have a barbecue there. We thought it would be a change for us and we would be in touch with nature in the forest. It has already been three months since we came here.
Haftasonu havanın böyle sıcak olacağı hava durumundan belli olduğu için Cuma akşamından plan yaptık. Bu kez, İstanbul’un Şile ilçesinde bulunan ve bizim ikinci favori mekanımız olan Ozan Deresi’ne gitmeye ve orda mangal yapmaya karar verdik. Hem değişiklik olur hem de ormanda doğayla iç içe oluruz diye düşündük. Zaten buraya gelmeyeli de üç ay gibi bir süre geçmişti.
I met my friend before Saturday afternoon. My friend had already loaded the table, chairs, samovar and other materials into his car. Then we went shopping to the market to buy the things for the barbecue. We set off towards Ozan Creek around 12:45. We arrived at Ozan Creek after about 45 minutes. Although the forest through which Ozan Creek passes by is in a somewhat secluded place, this was the first time we saw this place so crowded. We arrived earlier than usual, however families had already settled on the left side of the forest, which we always preferred.
Cumartesi öğleden önce arkadaşımla buluştum. Arkadaşım masa, sandalye, semaver ve diğer malzemeleri önceden arabasına yüklemişti. Daha sonra mangal malzemelerini almak için markete alışverişe gittik. Saat 12:45 gibi Ozan Deresi’ne doğru yola çıktık. Yaklaşık 45 dakika sonra Ozan Deresi’ne varmıştık. Ozan Deresi’nin içinden geçtiği orman biraz kuytu bir yerde kalmasına rağmen burayı ilk defa bu kadar kalabalık görmüştük. Normalden daha erken bir saatte gelmiştik, ama her zaman tercih ettiğimiz ormanın sol tarafına aileler yerleşmişti bile.
We had searched for a suitable place to settle for about half an hour. Finally, we found a spot on the right side of the forest, under a tree, with shade and a view of the creek. After parking the car nearby, we carried foods, drinks, tables, chairs and other things from the car to here. As usual, my friend lit the samovar first. Since we arrived early, we weren't hungry yet. After placing the table and chairs, we rested for a while and chatted. An hour later, we lit the barbecue fire. In the meantime, I walked around and took a few photos.
Yaklaşık yarım saat nereye oturalım diye uygun bir yer aradık. En sonunda ormanın sağ tarafında, ağaç altında, gölgelik ve dere manzarası olan bir yer bulduk. Arabayı yakın bir yere park ettikten sonra arabadan yiyecek, içecek, masa, sandalye ve diğer malzemeleri buraya taşıdık. Arkadaşım her zamanki gibi ilk olarak semaveri yaktı. Erken geldiğimiz için henüz acıkmamıştık. Masa ve sandalyeleri yerleştirdikten sonra biraz dinlendik, sohbet ettik. Bir saat sonra mangal ateşini yaktık. Ben bu arada etrafta dolaşıp birkaç fotoğraf çektim.
When I returned, I helped my friend. On the one hand, we grilled the thing on the barbecue, and on the other hand, we made the salad. About an hour later everything was ready. We ate, then we chatted and drank the tea that had been brewing in the samovar for hours. We stayed in the forest until seven o'clock to wait for the weather to cool down. Then, we gathered the things and put them in the car. We decided to take a walk in the forest to get some fresh air and satisfy our curiosity. We walked forward from where we had the barbecue. We discovered more beautiful places into the forest where cars could enter.
Döndüğümde arkadaşıma yardım ettim. Bir taraftan mangaldakileri pişirdik, diğer taraftan da salatayı yaptık. Yaklaşık bir saat sonra herşey hazırdı. Yemek faslını tamamladıktan sonra semaverde saatlerce demlenmiş bekleyen çayı içip muhabbet ettik. Havanın serinlemesini beklemek için akşam saat yediye kadar ormanda oturduk. Daha sonra malzemeleri toplayıp arabaya koyduk. Hem biraz temiz hava almak hem de merakımızı gidermek için ormanın içinde yürüyüş yapalım dedik. Mangal yaptığımız yerden ileriye doğru yürüdük. Ormanın içine doğru arabanın girebileceği daha güzel yerler keşfettik.
We decided to have a barbecue here on our next visit and, we returned to the car after walking for a while. All photos in this post belong to me. Thank you for reading.
