On boulevard Saint Laurent in Montreal. The mural is just off Graffiti Alley, where in 2023 the artists created another tribute to Scan, see StreetArt #617.

For the 2024 edition of the Mural Festival, a first tribute was done to Scan with this wall covered with the "signatures" of 54 Montreal artists (see photo below 🔽 or StreetArt #704 for more pics and info). But this wall belongs to a bank whose manager didn't really appreciate the work. But I liked it...

Pour l'édition 2024 du Mural Festival, un premier hommage avait été fait à Scan avec ce mur couvert avec les signatures de 54 artistes de Montréal (voir la photo ci dessous 🔽 ou alors StreetArt #704). Mais ce mur est à une banque dont le directeur n'a pas trop apprécié l'oeuvre. J'aimais bien...

So 5 months later, Mural Festival, under pressure, had to redo the mural. Fewer artists were involved, but friends from Scan produced a new version : Jher, Serak, Axe, Dodo Osé, Ekual and Rathbone. Who says the bank always wins? 😅

Alors 5 mois plus tard, Mural Festival, sous la pression, a du refaire la murale. Moins d'artistes impliqués mais les amis de Scan ont réalisé cette nouvelle version. Il s'agit de Jher, Serak, Axe, Dodo Osé, Ekual et Rathbone. Qui a dit que la Banque gagne toujours ? 😅

I don't know about you, but I preferred the old version with all the signatures and Mr Can Do It, as it better showed the huge respect this artist still enjoys in Montreal 8 years after his death.
What's your favorite version? On the new one, I really like the squirrel holding his watch.

Je ne sais pas vous, mais je préférais l'ancienne version avec toutes les signatures et Mr Can Do It, cela montrait mieux le respect dont jouit cet artiste encore à Montréal 8 ans après sa mort.
Et vous quelle est votre version préférée ? Sur la nouvelle, j'aime beaucoup l'écureuil tenant sa montre.

And I'll end with the reality of Graffiti Alley, it's not all murals and lettering. There's also a fair amount of tagging. That way, if you're in the area, you know what to expect 😀.

Et je termine avec la réalité de la Graffiti Alley, il n'y a pas que des murales ou des lettrages. Il y a aussi pas mal de tags. Comme cela, si vous êtes dans le coin, vous savez à quoi vous attendre 😀.
