Today I decided to take a part in CCC's Street Art Contest and share a couple of works that I found when I was traveling to Jeonju city.
A couple of words about Jeonju city...
Jeonju is a small city in South Korea. But it is very famous for its traditional village and for its bibimpab. Bibimpab is a traditional Korean food that is a mix of rice with different salads or vegetables. It is vegetarian food and it is really healthy!
Many people, not only foreign tourists but also locals come to that city to travel. Because the atmosphere here is different.
As soon as you come here you feel like you are in Korea around a century ago.
Art Street in Jeonju
If be honest, art street is pretty popular in Korea. Many small or old districts use 'art street' as one of the methods to attract more people to that area, thus revitalizing the area.
I think it is a very smart and cool marketing decision. If more people will come to that area, then local businesses will activate too. It will improve the district's economy. Also, it is less cost-consuming than other possible solutions.
I got a little off topic...
As I told you above many people come to Jeonju to see the traditional village. But not really many people know about the art street here.
That part of Jeonju is very small, and the streets here are super tiny. When I was walking here, I saw a couple of houses that were transferred to the guest houses or cafes.

Just look at that spot. I think it is perfect to take a rest and read a book. The cafe owner told me that at night the moon picture on the walls glows at night. Can you imagine it?

I couldn't take a whole picture because there were too many people walking around. But actually, if you combine the 2 photos above, you will see that there is a girl with a dog sitting on the full moon and a boy sitting on the crescent. And they at each other...

Thank you! :)
