Season 1 ended recently and I'm expecting a slowly decaying universe as players start becoming inactive leaving their world to get farmed. The only active ones left will eat each other and that's probably for the best as this universe becomes an experimental area.
There's a preview on what benefits players can still get when playing the game teased in MOON - what happens next

Moon is free to play and your in-game achievements can get you some extra rewards while posting on Hive. And this is what I like about the game, you can spend money on it but it doesn't require you to have money to achieve incredible feats within the game.
What I Plan on Doing on the Next Run:
A. Become a merchant.
It has nothing to do with the leaderboards but I just find trading resources more fun than breaking other people's stuff or building castles. I learned from doing the expeditions how much resources I've been missing out since most of my time was spent building ships to raid other planets.
B. Turtle up and focus on Tech
I forgot how stressful it can be (assuming I am on competitive mode) to time the attacks, constantly check the enemy movements, and etc. I lost sleep on some nights in anticipation when I could've just been chill at passive income then fleetsaving.
Notes:
I wish there were more personal achievements that players could accomplish than end game goals where only 1 winner comes out and it's usually just big spenders that get that trophy.
I was the first one to create a bomber ship which wasn't really a big deal in the overall scene but as the 1st one to actually race to make it, that's something. I believe there are plenty of ways to have fun in game and that ties to small achievements unique to the account or just milestones.
I think those two areas are the ones I'll be more focused on the next time.
Thanks for your time.
