A Tale of Two Pizza's - Proof of Decision (week 8)

"Hi Danny, you're right on time the new crusts are coming right out, hot and ready, Frankches has quite the recipe and talent, along with my guidance he shall be quite the cook some day."
The apprentices brought out the pizzas and presented to Chef and Danny.
Danny bite into the first slice, savouring a few bites then moved on to the next pizza for a few bites. He tasted the first pizza again and then a few bites from the second. Before he could finish eating, he exclaimed, "Wonderful job, absolutely wonderful job. The first pizza crust it is, that is the one that we shall use from now on." Charlie nodded his head "Yes Danny, that is the crust from the young Frankches" he said, agreeing.
Frackches smiled as he saw the situation unfold in front of him, he smiled with pride and looked around the room. Everyone was staring at him although, Otto peering just over Danny's shoulder with a twisted look of frustration forced happiness.
"Good work little man, some day you will run this kitchen" Danny said as he preceded to exit the kitchen and on to other matters with Otto in tow.
Chef Charlie felt the pang of hurt in his heart. For all those years of loyalty he had put into the kingdom, only to nurture his own demise by some kid with a goofy name. What was that name anyways, a compound word of cheese and Frank...geeze could he not just commit to another two E's and make it cheese, no it had to be a chopped name, chopped like the legs out from under his chefs career, Charlie thought. Perhaps there is more to this kid's ability to make pizza crust than he imagined. Charlie felt dejected and unsettled by the dough boy FrankCheese, he thought laughing at his own joke. He had more important things to carry onto that FrankCheese could not do and would likely not know for a long time. He still had the spotlight.

......Meanwhile. . . .

Rachel wandered, walking the streets in the Oil Baron's kingdom after the puzzling meeting she had just had. She needed some time to mull over and think about what she had just heard. Knowing that there was more to it, and she must be missing something. Deep in thought and peering up at a flickering lit oil lamp retrofitted and attached to an old lamp post she congregated with a few people stood around in loose array. As she stood there thinking and looking around the oil lamp flicked its last gasps, with a whooshing sounds it went out with a faint pop. The few people standing around started grumbling and complaining, "There goes another light, these shortages are getting tiring, having to move like moths to a flame, I remember when there was an oil lamp lit for each town member in this place, I hear the Oil Barron is trading more oil for pizzas than he can afford to and not sharing with others, I sure have not gotten a slice after all this time waiting for one." "Oil shortage?" Rachel said in the cover of darkness that now cloaked the group of people stand around a new dark patch, much darker now as their eyes had no time to adjust.
"Yea the Baron is trading all the oil for his pizza habit parties, he says he would share and all are welcome but it is the same cronies that get to go and there is nothing left over in the morning except for a mess to clean and dark streets for the rest of us. People are getting tired of this" one man said. "Yes it is getting to be a nuisance when we cannot make it to our jobs because of the rationing of oil that we have been imposed with" said a woman. "There is that secret group meeting in a few days to talk about solutions to this crisis that only seems to affect the people not living inside the walls of the barons house. It is all too much to keep on the same course and letting this go on." Said another man's voice. "I hear that the spy from the Pizza Kingdom is coming to that meeting" Said another distinct voice. "Yea I heard that as well, should be an interesting meeting this time" said one of the male voices. "Where and when is this meeting to be held?" Rachel said with intrigue. "Oh, it is happening on the next full moon in about a weeks time, by the warehouse outside of town...a lot goes on in that place but it always seems to be empty." Said a woman's voice.
Rachel knew this was her opportunity to gain some real traction with her new information. She wanted to ride back to the Pizza Kingdom to warn Danny about the spy, but now there was more dough to proof.
