Prelude
If you are not aware, a new game has descended and launched on 19th of April 2025. The game is called Moon and can be accessed from this site https://moon.hive.pizza/. I was glad to be part of the launch that happened on Pizza Discord where there the game developers were online and the whole community Moon together and kick start their journey accordingly. Today, I will be looking at my experience on this game and how this can be a platform for you to enjoy playing and also invite people whom are not on the blockchain to experience the game and onboard them into hive blockchain.
Moon - What is it?
This is a web based space strategy game which surround the building of your space empire, joining alliances and annihilating enemies that stand in your way. In my young days, I also play such web based games such as The Reincarnation and Utopia, but those games were mainly as compared to Moon, there is much more nice artwork to let you immerse in your space empire. The game can be played on any browser on both mobile and pc which is a plus point since we are almost always on the go. Being able to access the game on mobile browser helps keep the space empire closely monitored.
Signing Up
There are two options available to sign up for Moon - Hive account or just simply an email. As per what @ecoinstant shared during the launch of the game on Pizza Discord, email is the better option since we will not need to use keychain browser which makes accessing the game. little harder. So just go with email and I understand there is a lot of hard work being done to enable the game to be accessed via normal email.

Click on register instead of using the keychain so that you can use email to register. The registration process is very much self explanatory so I won't dive in deep into it.
After registering and logging in, you will find yourself on the game landing space and you have successfully become a part of Moon.
Opportunity for Onboarding
Because this game can be played without Hive account and it is free to play, this give a big opportunity for people who are not on Hive blockchain to learn more about the blockchain. Starting Your Empire Right
The key about starting right is important and the first building that one should build will be the Solar Power Plant to give you energy.
After that is done, you will continue buildings stuff that produce resources for building more things, building your army and even research new technologies. But most of us will encounter a situation where there is a lack of energy, so you can click on "Resources" and come to this page.
There is a % to the right which you can adjust based on your current resource need and save some energy so that you have enough to build the next building. I will leave it to you to explore and optimize your resource production rate accordingly.
So continue building and growing till you can build your shipyard which will be the start of producing your army. Do also build up the research lab and conduct research to unlock new things such as stronger technologies or more kinds of ships.
Another tip from me is to use the queue system to build or research your stuff instead of waiting to run down the clock and start the next one.
Experience Thus Far and Wrap Up
I am new to the game as well and also exploring my way to know the game better. The game brings back nostalgia like how I played web based games with similar genre and I like how Moon has better images for better scenario immersion. There is more to discover, grow and then start claiming your position in the empire by taking our enemies or exploring new places. I like how
the game is going right now. And I am thankful for the queue system so that I can have a eace of mind whenever I have to attend meetings and stuff which will render me away from accessing the game.
