Greetings to all my friends in the Gaming Photography community. Today I bring you a game that is well known to all, and also much loved for its dark aura and story that everyone should come to understand: Little Nightmares.
This game came out quite a while ago, back in 2017, and I must say that it has aged wonderfully. To be honest, the puzzles and challenges in this game are not particularly difficult, which I like because it allows a wide audience to enjoy it. However, that doesn't mean that it's any less tense, as I've had a few good scares on several occasions.
That's something I admire about this franchise. Even though it's not a huge challenge, mixing horror and tension with puzzles makes everything a little more complicated because we temporarily set reason aside and resort to survival. Even though it's just a game and we know our lives are not at risk, it's a feeling that is perfectly achieved.
The story follows a little girl in a yellow raincoat who reminds us of the iconic scene from IT. She wakes up trapped in a mysterious place, a gigantic ship inhabited by grotesque, nightmarish creatures.
There are several very interesting enemies, such as the janitor, a creature with long arms and no eyes that captures children; the cooks, who are deformed chefs that must be avoided by going through some ducts; and the lady, who is the leader of this ship, an extremely mysterious woman with supernatural powers.
Leaving the story aside for a moment, I love admiring certain scenes in this game, as we can feel the absolute loneliness of being in an unknown place, lost, without knowing what lurks in the shadows. The game manages to convey that aura of nightmare and dream, the feeling of being in danger and tiny in the face of the world we are facing. What difference could one make in a world like this? How can one survive in the face of so much chaos and danger? But despite that, our protagonist moves forward until she overcomes all the obstacles that come her way.
As you can see, it's a game that I love, and right now I'm eagerly awaiting the third installment of this title. Thank you for reading, thank you for participating, and thank you for loving this community so much. I'm Nitsu, and I'll see you next time.
