Hello and welcome back to my blog!
I've talked about many DLC reserves from theHunter: Call of the Wild. There are many I don't own, and to play them, I rely on public servers. Usually, the most popular or recent ones are hosted most often, which gives everyone a chance to try them out before deciding to buy. I've bought many after enjoying them in multiplayer. However, I had never played on one reserve called Mississippi Acres Preserve, located somewhere in the southeastern United States.
This is one of the least popular maps I've seen in the game, and I could hardly find anyone hosting it. Well, this time I was lucky and saw someone hosting it with just one spot left. I quickly joined to see why this reserve is the least popular in the game.
Most of the map seems to have been flooded and converted to swamps. This is the only reserve where you can hunt alligators. I can see how its popularity might have decreased after the game released Emerald Coast, which features an even deadlier predator like the Saltwater Crocodile.
Wild Hogs are roaming around this map. It also has Raccoons, but I couldn't find any in my session.
One of the most unique things about this reserve is the futuristic-looking hunting stands. I guess you have to leave things to the Americans if you want to spend a lot of money on anything, lol.
It does look good, though. What do you think? Also, it might just be the only map with power lines running along the road like this.
It doesn't feel very 'wild' to me. Maybe that's the reason this reserve performed badly?
You'll find human influence everywhere in the reserve. I prefer reserves that give me the feeling I'm exploring wild and untouched nature, not the middle of a settlement.
My favorite things about the reserve are the flowers. There are so many interesting wildflowers growing everywhere.

Talking about the wildlife here, the deadliest are the alligators. They can attack you from anywhere and blend well in the swamps. The higher the challenge, the more interesting it gets for me.
I was surprised to see them far away from the water. I thought they would only be very close to the water, but nope. My dog, Sheru, can warn me about dangers, and because of him, I was able to detect this one. It tried to attack me at first and then tried to run away, but that was too late for it.
I guess the swamps are probably the most interesting part of this reserve. Compared to the rest, other parts are pretty dull for me. I found a big group of Whitetail here too. I could only take down one male from the entire group. The other injured one got away.

I love the wooden bridge too. Very minimalistic, unlike the hunting stand, lol.
Outposts are pretty unique too. They look very different from the outside than any other reserve we've seen before. They are even more interesting from the inside. You can find a lot of unique things there, even an alligator head mounted on the wall.

I don't know what kind of flowers they are cultivating here, but the entire fields of those white flowers definitely look beautiful.
Contrast that with the next shot, which looks entirely untouched by human presence. Very mystical vibe... don't you think?
