Hello and Welcome back to my blog!

The latest weekly contest's theme, Virtual Wildlife Photography by the Gaming Photography community allows me to showcase the vibrant wildlife of theHunter: Call of the Wild. I will be featuring a lot of species doing their business in their natural habitats.
The most difficult ones to get close to without spooking them are the predator species like Bears, Lions, Foxes etc but they are most vulnerable when it's their drinking time and they have to get close to a lake or river to quench their thirst.
That's how I shot this beautiful Red Fox. They have excellent sense of smell and hearing and are extremely careful, getting close to them is a real challenge. I was lucky to spot this near this river.

This reserve is very beautiful and I can't resist sharing how beautiful it looks!

From Australia, let's go straight to Africa. There are so many unique species in this map, including Lions that you cannot get from any other reserve in the game.
But first let's talk about some preys, the smaller and faster Springboks who run while jumping very high in the air and that's how they get 'spring' in their names too.

I tried to get close but he sensed me and leaped away. I looked for more and found a new group, this group even had a dark-skinned "Black Brown" fur-type animal. I stalked them for some time to see what they were doing. They were travelling from one place to another. It must be going to another "need zone". Perhaps, to feed or rest in the afternoon

One of the hardest ones to photograph is the tiny 'Scrub Hare' because they hide well in the grass and pick up vibrations from the ground and run away from danger quickly.

One of the most difficult ones to find are the Lions as they have excellent senses and sometimes attack you if you try to get closer. But their weakness is when they have to drink, which was a perfect opportunity for me.

How about a change of scenery again and I take you to the beautiful Crimson plains of Alaska! This is my favourite location from the entire game. The bright red grasses and flowers make it look magical.

Many big animal species walk over the beautiful Crimson plains of Alaska. I found one after searching for a while. They were a couple of Moose, one male with a Big set of antlers and a smaller female.

Soon, a female arrived from behind the trees, they were investigating the source of mating calls that I just made with my Moose caller.

I shot the male with my bow while the female ran away from the danger. I ran behind the female which led me towards a big herd of Bisons.

The next place I went was the Layton Lake District. I usually go here for the Whitetails and Blacktail deer as this map has a good population of these two species.

I parked myself under a tree on all four and used some scent eliminators and callers to allow the whitetail deer to come close to me. They were close to the lake, drinking peacefully until they heard my call and a few were attracted.

I went to the southwestern part of the reserve to a place called Roonachee. It has a big lake and the only water body in this local area so it receives a lot of attention. If you go in the late morning to early afternoon you will find Whitetails drinking there!

I used my callers to see if they get attracted to it and the first ones to come were the desperate females...lol

After this long session of Stalking in Layton Lakes districts, I changed the map and went to Cuatro Colinas Reserve which is located somewhere in Spain.
This reserve has a lot of goats but I found a pack of Wolves. They were resting, perhaps, after a successful hunting session of their own. I have to capture them from far away because they have excellent sense of hearing and smell.

Getting closer to them is one of the toughest challenges in the game unless they want to do it...lol. (Just prey they don't). I tried to sneak up on them to get better, close-up shots but they sensed me and got alert and went away.

I went to the farmlands and saw a group of Iberian Mouflon fleeing from the scene. They were crossing an open field with the big male going faster than the smaller females who were following him.

A ring-necked pheasant came flying and landed on the road just across the field. It chose to walk and cross the road like a sane person would do...lol

Later, I saw those goats just sat down across the field and were resting. They still looked nervous and tentative.

I could show a lot more as the game has hundreds of species spread across tens of hunting reserves/maps but this is more than enough. I already spend too much time stalking all these species. The predator species were much more difficult than the deer or goats because of their better senses.
Thanks for reading...
Until next hunt...
