What is the theme of this community?
All countries and regions of the planet have their own cultural identity and mythology, which have been passed down through the centuries. Many people are scholars of various mythologies. Others are fascinated by and enjoy consuming or creating content related to one or more mythologies.
In this community you can discuss all topics directly and indirectly related to all mythologies: Celtic, Norse, Roman, Sumerian, Inca, Hindu, Chinese, Aztec, American, Greek, Egyptian, and many other little known mythologies. This community can be the perfect place for you to post on these topics.
A niche with few active users?
Yes, let's face it. It is currently a niche within Hive that may not have a large number of users who like mythological topics. Any start is difficult and it is likely that few users will subscribe and post.
We are thinking ahead. Over time and as the platform expands and new users come on board, it may be a niche that will also grow. Among many new users, it is feasible that some will become passionate about mythologies and have this space to share their publications.
Don't they have the support of a whale or a big project?
It is a fledgling community, a little explored niche, without a large base of subscribed users, so there is no direct support from a whale or large curation project. That shouldn't stop you from publishing in the community. If you are passionate about a topic and write a brilliant post, surely curators looking for high quality content will consider your post.
What can I publish on Mythology?
- Any post related to mythology.
- Historical analysis on mythology.
- Essays on mythology.
- Opinion articles on mythological topics.
- Musicians can publish about musical themes that are part of mythologies.
- Visual artists may publish works related to mythology.
- Writers can publish fiction stories inspired by mythology.
- Reviews of items inspired by mythologies (products, books, audiovisual productions, etc.).
On the last four points it is important to clarify that there are specific niche communities for story content, music, reviews, etc. Therefore, as the union and support between communities is one of our main values. That type of content can be published in the specific community that is your favorite, then you can use the crosspost tool to make the publication visible in our community. For example: if you are a musician and you cover a song inspired by a mythological theme, publish it in the Music community and then crosspost the post to our community.
Don't we have a Discord server?
No. It is not in the plans to open a discord server. We consider it unnecessary. There are already many discord servers, with the same users on almost all of them. Why disperse? It is preferable to maintain unity. In case someday this niche gets the attention of a good amount of users and it is necessary to perform some activity in discord, we prefer to ask permission to some already established server, to perform this activity. It is something that I see very far away, because first many users who are interested in the main theme of the community must join.
Who founded this community experiment?
You can see the initial team of the community in the description. The main idea came from @jcrodriguez and received the support of the pukumundo community formed by @nahupuku (musician and artist who likes mythological themes) and @orimusic . Also a founding member is @kellyrsa with experience in the moderation area.
What's next?
At the moment there is no timetable, but a launch contest will be prepared in the future, to encourage users to subscribe to the mythological community. It will be announced in due course.
What can't be published in the community?
Anything related to mythology is allowed, only users who spam, plagiarize or publish posts without any relation to the main theme of the community will be muted.

In which language to publish?
Bilingual publications are welcome.
The Hispanic community is large on Hive and most post in two languages (English and Spanish) to reach as many people as possible.
There are Hispanic users who only like to post in Spanish. You can also post only in your language.
We do not want the language barrier to be a limitation to expose your ideas and publications. Hive is a space that should break language barriers. You can use the Internet translators of your choice to make your publications bilingual.
Finally, if you like the topic, don't hesitate to join and publish your excellent contents.

¿Cuál es la temática de esta comunidad?
Todos los países y regiones del planeta tienen su propia identidad cultural y mitología, que se han transmitido a lo largo de los siglos. Muchas personas son estudiosas de diversas mitologías. A otros les fascina y les gusta consumir o crear contenidos relacionados con una o varias mitologías.
En esta comunidad se pueden tratar todos los temas relacionados directa e indirectamente con todas las mitologías: Celta, Nórdica, Romana, Sumeria, Inca, Hindú, China, Azteca, Americana, Griega, Egipcia, y muchas otras mitologías poco conocidas. Esta comunidad puede ser el espacio perfecto para que publiques sobre estos temas.
¿Un nicho con pocos usuarios activos?
Sí, hay que ser realistas. Actualmente es un nicho dentro de Hive que puede no tener un gran número de usuarios a los que les gusten los temas mitológicos. Todo comienzo es difícil y es probable que pocos usuarios se suscriban y publiquen.
Pensamos en el futuro. Con el tiempo y a medida que la plataforma se extienda y entren nuevos usuarios, puede ser un nicho que también logre crecer. Entre muchos nuevos usuarios, es factible que algunos se apasionen por las mitologías y dispongan de este espacio para compartir sus publicaciones.
¿No cuentan con el apoyo de una ballena o de un gran proyecto?
Es una comunidad incipiente, un nicho poco explorado, sin una gran base de usuarios suscritos, por lo que no hay apoyo directo de una ballena o gran proyecto de curación. Eso no debería impedirte publicar en la comunidad. Si te apasiona un tema y escribes un post brillante, seguramente los curadores que buscan contenido de alta calidad tendrán en cuenta tu publicación.
¿Qué puedo publicar en Mithology?
- Cualquier post relacionado con la mitología.
- Análisis históricos sobre mitología.
- Ensayos sobre mitología.
- Artículos de opinión sobre temas mitológicos.
- Los músicos pueden publicar sobre temas musicales que formen parte de las mitologías.
- Los artistas plásticos pueden publicar obras relacionadas con la mitología.
- Los escritores pueden publicar historias de ficción inspiradas en la mitología.
- Reseñas de artículos inspirados en mitologías (productos, libros, producciones audiovisuales, etc.).
Sobre los cuatro últimos puntos es importante aclarar que existen comunidades de nicho específicas para contenidos de relatos, música, reseñas, etc. Por lo tanto, como la unión y el apoyo entre comunidades es uno de nuestros principales valores. Ese tipo de contenido puede ser publicado en la comunidad específica que sea tu favorita, luego puedes utilizar la herramienta de crosspost para hacer visible la publicación en nuestra comunidad. Por ejemplo: si eres músico y versionas una canción inspirada en un tema mitológico, publicarla en la comunidad de Música y luego haz un crosspost de la publicación a nuestra comunidad.
¿No tenemos un servidor Discord?
No. No está en los planes abrir un servidor de discord. Lo consideramos innecesario. Ya hay muchos servidores de discord, con los mismos usuarios en casi todos ellos. ¿Por qué dispersarse? Es preferible mantener la unidad. En caso de que algún día este nicho consiga llamar la atención de una buena cantidad de usuarios y sea necesario realizar alguna actividad en discord, preferimos pedir permiso a algún servidor ya establecido, para realizar esta actividad. Es algo que veo muy lejano, porque primero deben unirse muchos usuarios que estén interesados en el tema principal de la comunidad.
¿Quién fundó este experimento de comunidad ?
Puedes ver el equipo inicial de la comunidad en la descripción. La idea principal fue de @jcrodriguez y recibió el apoyo de la comunidad pukumundo formada por @nahupuku (músico y artista al que le gustan los temas mitológicos) y @orimusic . También es miembro fundador @kellyrsa con experiencia en el área de moderación.
¿Qué es lo próximo?
De momento no hay un calendario, pero se preparará un concurso de lanzamiento en el futuro, para animar a los usuarios a suscribirse a la comunidad mitológica. Se anunciará a su debido tiempo.
¿Qué no se puede publicar en la comunidad?
Todo lo relacionado con la mitología está permitido, sólo se silenciarán los usuarios que hagan spam, plagien o publiquen posts sin ninguna relación con el tema principal de la comunidad.

¿En qué idioma publicar?
Las publicaciones bilingües son bienvenidas.
La comunidad hispana es numerosa en Hive y la mayoría publica en dos idiomas (inglés y español) para que sus publicaciones lleguen al mayor número posible de personas.
Hay usuarios hispanos a los que sólo les gusta publicar en español. También puedes hacerlo sólo en tu idioma.
No queremos que la barrera del idioma sea una limitación para exponer tus ideas y publicaciones. Hive es un espacio que debe romper las barreras lingüísticas. Puedes utilizar los traductores de Internet que prefieras para que tus publicaciones sean bilingües.
