¿Qué son las criptomonedas, un nuevo sistema de inclusión financiera o un factor de riesgo generador de nuevas desigualdades?
Esta es la pregunta que podemos esbozar basandonos en la idea sugerida por la iniciativa de la comunidad que para el día viernes 13 nos invita a reflexionar sobre las criptomonedas, pero, no de manera amplia sino quenos propone la siguiente pregunta:
"¿Piensas que las criptomonedas son un nuevo potencial para la inclusión financiera o en cambio son el riesgo de cara a nuevas desigualdades?"
Creo que en este sentido puede haber un enorme debate, aunque, quienes me conocen un poco sabrán que mi respuesta a la interrogante propuesta se inclina aristotelicamente hablando hacía una tercera vía y aunque no pretendo hacer en esta publicación un ensayo, sino más bien, lo que pretendo con estos párrafos es exponer mis puntos de por qué creo que de las dos opciones propuesta en la pregunta sugerida, ambas son igual de válidas y que el asunto no radica en la herramienta (criptomonedas) per se, sino en quien la usa.
En este sentido, para mí la tercera vía está en línea con la idea heideggeriana de que la cosa es definida por su uso. Ahora bien, querido lector permíteme en este punto proponer un burdo ejemplo con la única pretensión de esbozar una suerte de analogía. Un martillo es una cosa útil, la podemos definir como una herramienta que sirve para clavar, aunque también para golpear, pero su definición no limita su uso. Podemos usar un martillo para asesinar a una persona, o algo menos cruento, podemos usar un martillo para sostener una puerta para que no se cierre o abra con el soplar de la brisa o simplemente como un pisapapeles. Estos últimos usos no están contemplados en la definición por lo que el algo es definido por su uso más que por el motivo por el cual fue fabricado.
¿Y todo esto que tiene que ver con las criptomonedas?
En este sentido las criptomonedas tomarán el rumbo que nosotros le proporcionaremos, Por lo que representan tanto un riesgo y generar nuevas desigualdades como al mismo tiempo son un factor de inclusión económica y seguro estimado lector te estés preguntando ¿Cómo es posible? Y es que las criptomonedas no son el problema, sino, es el uso que le podamos dar y todo lo que pueda erigirse a su alrededor.
Creo que poder preguntarnos esto es importante ya que ponemos bajo la lupa el horizonte de sentido de las criptomonedas, lo que nos permite reflexionar y darnos cuenta de qué se está generando en torno a las criptomonedas y como somos responsables de ello. Creo que es tan variado el ecosistema cripto que hay un poco de ambos y quienes están al tanto se lavan las manos.
Aunque también hay proyectos que sin prisa, pero sin pausa aportan y generan un impacto positivo aportando más a la inclusión que a la formación de nuevas desigualdades aunque estas existan y siempre existirán, no se trata de propiciar su hegemonía, sino de crear oportunidades a quienes se atrevan a afrontar.

What are cryptocurrencies, a new system of financial inclusion or a risk factor generating new inequalities?
This is the question we can outline based on the idea suggested by the initiative of the community that for Friday the 13th invites us to reflect on cryptocurrencies, but, not in a broad way but proposes the following question:
“Do you think crypto--currencies are a new potential for financial inclusion or instead are they the risk in the face of new inequalities? ”.
I believe that in this sense there can be a huge debate, although, those who know me a little will know that my answer to the proposed question leans Aristotelianly speaking towards a third way and although I do not intend to make in this publication an essay, but rather, what I intend with these paragraphs is to expose my points of why I believe that of the two options proposed in the suggested question, both are equally valid and that the issue does not lie in the tool (cryptocurrencies) per se, but in who uses it.
In this sense, for me the third way is in line with the Heideggerian idea that the thing is defined by its use. Now, dear reader, allow me at this point to propose a crude example with the sole pretense of sketching a sort of analogy. A hammer is a useful thing, we can define it as a tool that serves for nailing, but also for striking, but its definition does not limit its use. We can use a hammer to kill a person, or something less cruel, we can use a hammer to hold a door so that it does not close or open with the blowing of the breeze or simply as a paperweight. These latter uses are not covered by the definition so the something is defined by its use rather than the reason for which it was made.
What does all this have to do with cryptocurrencies?
In this sense cryptocurrencies will take the direction that we will provide, so they represent both a risk and generate new inequalities and at the same time are a factor of economic inclusion and sure dear reader you are wondering how is this possible? And the fact is that cryptocurrencies are not the problem, but rather, it is the use we can give them and everything that can be built around them.
