So this is my little tiny whoop, the BetaFPV Air75 with TBS Crossfire receiver. It's a small little FPV drone that I can use to have some big fun, indoors or out! It is an analog drone, so the picture can be hit or miss, but it's still really fun to fly. This is my 'Little Dude' quad that I have been flying in the last couple of videos that I have posted. The Team Black Sheep Crossfire receiver is by far the best when it comes to range and obstacle penetration. The only thing, it is proprietary, unlike the ELRS protocol, which comes with a bit bigger price tag, but makes it easier to get paired up with your quads.
Being that I have the DJI Goggles V2, which are digital goggles, I had to add an analog module to them to be able to receive the video from the quad. I went with the SpeedyBee analog module, but I want to try possibly a different module to see if I get a better image. But hey, it works at least.
I 3D printed the mount and clip for the module adaptor and it fit perfectly in place. This makes it easy so I can just slide the module on and off. I found the file on Thingiverse so I didn't have to do any designing or anything, I just downloaded the file, threw it in my slicer with the settings I wanted to print at and sent it to the BambuLab A1 for printing.
These big antennas are great, but I think I want to upgrade the verticle one to one even taller to get over my big fat head, lol. I feel like if I got a taller one, I would get better image or at least better range. The big dish is a directional antenna that helps give me a bit more range as well. If I know the direction of my quad and the image gets fuzzy, I can just turn my head in that direction and can usually get it to clear up. If not, then I have gone too far, lol.
This little tiny whoop makes a perfect addition to my drone fleet, and really kind of completes it for now. I have some work to do on the Baterino, but will get back to it when the holidays settle down.
So as you can see there are many different types of drones you can choose from to either add to your collection, or get started off with.
Until next time...
Be cool, be real, and always abide with the skies my dudes!
