Sunday was my birthday and some of my FPV buddies came over to the @run-a-muck-farms homestead to continue the work on the Dirty South FPV Park! More donated material, playground equipment, volunteer labor, and of course an ample amount of cannabis was consumed, but the goals for the day were met!
It's starting to all come together! A view from the flight line shows the awesome potential we have to make this into an amazing area to come and fly some FPV drones!
This is one dedicated crew of awesome dudes to take time out of their weekend to come in the hot and muggy weather to build something awesome for the community. Some even coming from the next state over!
One of the toughest obstacles was putting a dive pipe on the big hoop tree, adding an awesome spot to practice diving holes and gaps! Once we can get our hands on a bucket truck, which could be soon, then we will have no problem getting higher in the air to get things done!
Pretty awesome setup if you ask me! This one tree can serve for hours of fun and practice trying to loop the hoops, or trying to make a run through all of them, one after the other!
The biggest construction project of the day was the 'Thunder Dome'! We put up these 7 ft columns after digging posts into the ground and then mounted a jungle gym on top of it! Pretty awesome piece!
We also got the tubes mounted onto the swing frame as well as made a new frame out of the left over posts for the second tube to have as a fly through obstacle. Overall it was a great time with the boys for my birthday, getting all this work done on the park! One of the coolest things is while we were working, we had some free promotion on Joshua Bardwell's live stream! He is probably the biggest FPV drone YouTuber out there, so that was pretty awesome! At least we now have his eyes on things too!
