Hello, my dear Hivers!
Today, I’ll be sharing with you the day we had all been waiting for, especially us in the 2nd batch of TES scholars. We’ve been looking forward to this release for quite some time now, since we also have school expenses and things we need to buy. Receiving this kind of educational assistance is a huge help for students like us.
The releasing was scheduled for just one day, and the number of students to be catered to was over 300. At first, I had doubts if the release would really only take a day, but after double-checking their page, it turned out that it truly was just a one-day event.
Before, when I was still a working student, I was one of the staff helping during the release. And let me tell you, it wasn’t easy. But I was still happy that I got to help because they really needed manpower. But now, all I had to do was fall in line and wait to receive the money.
So, before the scheduled day, Angelie and I agreed that we’d arrive early, again (we’ve made this kind of plan many times already haha). The deal was, whoever arrived late (even by a minute!) would have to treat the other to food. When the day came, the plan was to be at school by 8:00 AM. But guess what? No one arrived early! At first, I was nervous thinking maybe she was already there, and I’d end up treating her. however, when eight thirty came, she messaged asking where I was, and turns out she was still at home too! We both ended up arriving at around 9:00 AM, so it was fair, no one had to treat the other. I could finally breathe easy!
Angelie is my closest friend and the one who really understands me within our friend group.
When we finally arrived on campus, there were already a lot of people, and new arrivals had to stand just to get a seat. The ground floor was had lots of chairs, but no matter how many were provided, there were still more students than chairs.
On the left side, there was a tent, but the other side had none. So I had to use an umbrella since it was hot, just slightly hot, but still. Luckily, Angelie had one!
We arrived at 9:00 AM but only got our cash assistance around 1:00 or 2:00 PM. And mind you, we hadn't even had lunch yet, so I was already feeling dizzy.
Right after receiving the assistance, we went straight to Jollibee, and here are some of our photos with my friends.
And that’s all for today’s blog, my dear Hivers!
Thank you for reading!
