We all entered as strangers. On the first day, even in my first semester, I was reluctant and resistant towards everything, everyone, and every interaction. I was a dead type introvert who didn't like to share or talk to anyone.
I remember Anita(who became my best friend now) called me while i was going downstairs. I just looked back at her and then went down. This was my first strange interaction. After many strange and new interactions, we became close friends.
We were seventy students when we entered class for the very first day. Though with time we reduced to 68. Well, surprisingly, 68 itself is a big number. At first, these all 68 were strangers, but we became family.
I am so much grateful to Almighty Allah that i have so nice and amazing people around me. They care for me and show kindness towards me. I know these words may be simple and can not fully deliver the full sense of what feelings i have at this moment. Believe me, throughout my life, i never had such loving, caring and amazing people around me. It's all thanks to University that i got to learn and to know about so many amazing people. I can not forget them. Their memories will always walk in my mind.
On 9th May, 2025
Our juniors decided to give us farewell party. They invited us with decorated cards. A day before farewell, I received a parcel from home and in that parcel i got Shalwar Qameez that i have to wear at the party.
From the stuff of dress, I guessed that my mother had bought an expensive suit for me. She was even insisting that I should buy new shoes so that i would look amazing at this particular event. Before going to the event, I made a video call to my mother and showed myself. She was very happy to see me in that dress and sending me virtual compliments.
After receiving compliments from my mother, I went with my mates for photos. Yes, the same photos that i have shown above.
I participated in a performance, too, for which i was crazily excited. Though a small chill of nervousness was running through my spine but the enjoyment of moment overlooked the nervousness.
Before entering the party area, everyone was busy with photos.
And party night started with loud speaker, new dresses, smiling faces, greetings and a lot ot excitement.
Majorly, there were many farewell speeches that made us emotional. I kept on holding my tears and emotions in my eyes. I didn't let any tears roll down my cheeks.
Throughout party, my eyes were stopped at just one person just like God has created just one person and all others were blind to me. If my couldn't find that person, my eyes were confused.
We friends had dinner together and cracked so many jokes on each other. Thought of there will be no next semester was keep on ringing in mind and it is still an haunting illusion for me.
Should i tell you a secret? I wanted to have dinner with my beloved person but then my friends waved at me and called me have dinner with them. At that time i felt like i am stuck in situation. At that moment, i gave time to both sides. For sometime, i sat with my beloved person and then i went to sit with my friends.
After dinner.... stage was won by singers. They sang melodious songs. They played Rabab(a regional musical instrument that is like guitar but not actually guitar). They sang songs in pashto language. Though language wasn't understandable to many of us but we enjoyed it with full energy and absorbed the positive vibe that was blended in the air around.
Once singers performance ended, Dj night started. We all danced crazily without any filter and boundaries. It was full crazy and fun part of the party.
I gathered up my beloved people and captured photos with them so that their photos remain saved on my mobile. I was quite sure that i am going to upload these photos on the internet. Even if, by some mistake, these photos get delete in my mobile, even then these will remain saved on internet.
Jawad- He is more than best friend. He is more than anyone in this World. He is so special and always there for me.
