A special post it would be. Really special-
But how?
It's the birthday of someone special. My first friend in university.
It was 16th January 2025. It's a little new throwback, but still, it's a memory.
Every fleeting and passing moment becomes a memory and a matter of the past. I wish i could stop some fleeting moments, but it's not possible. Time has its wings to fly. I can not hold time in my hands. I am worthless to stop time. Only i can make it memorable to living each and every moment.
We planned a surprise for "Anita - birthday Girl". But, the funny thing was that we reached late and the birthday girl arrived earlier. Our plan was going out of our hands and wasn't working according to our will. Actually, we got late as we were preoccupied with our presentations and submissions of assignments. Luckily, we reached to our planned restaurant "Howdy".
To me and to my friends, this restaurant is surely nostalgic as it reminds us of our big reunion and feast that we enjoyed two years ago. That's why, We chose this place to celebrate her birthday.
We reached an hour late and then planned, but everyone was looking happy. Not even mild symptoms of anger. It was a happy start of a birthday party. We were assuming that Anita would be angry, but everyone who was sitting there was happy. Sunflowers resting gracefully on the wooden table. A casio watch was also resting on the same page
Cowboy theme of the restaurant never failed me to get my heart. We settled down, but our table was the only one that was disturbing maybe others, because we were having loud conservation and cheerful about the night.
Beneath colorful and beautifully decorated banner of "taste buds" we buds were sitting. We all had cheerful and mild smiles on our faces. Each of us cracked jokes to make the environment more fun.
We laughed on our poorly conducted surprise but Anita was happy over everything that we did efforts.
My mates got busy with "what to order by keeping budget in mind." Keeping budget in mind is indeed mindful because we students will be on the brink of chaos if we mismanaged it π. We ordered chicken stakes for us, but one of us didn't walk with flow, and he ordered something like roasted chicken and rice. I don't know the exact name on the menu list.
Our stakes would time take to be served, said Sabiha.
Yes, We should cut the cake first and celebrate birthday- I suggested.
Sabiha unpacked the cake. It was appealing to my taste buds. I craved to endeavor it to my fullist.
[ It's day of birthday girl. Don't of foolish and be at ease. You will get your share in cake to eat. Eat calmly and show that you are a person with manners. Control your crave.] Monologue going inside my head.
A mild, pleasing, and cute smile on the face of Anita. It was consistent. Lit up the candles, and they started waving with the waves of air.
Stop, Stop, Stop guys..... it is pertinent to take pictures before cutting the birthday cake. We have to keep photos for memory. We will miss these moments after graduation when we will get a little chance to meet.
Ahhhhh... don't do this. I am not a cake. Cake is in front of you, girl.
We did a little fake smiling to be happy in the pictures ( it's reality). Not every glittering thing is gold.
People on other tables also clapped and sang;
Birthday celebrations is done but dinner is to be enjoyed. Served, and they went back.
But, Basit's plate was looking more appealing to everyone. May be we don't appreciate what we have in our plates.
Honestly, I was looking at my stake. Come to me, i want to eat you, my stake. Everyone got busy in taking pictures. Snaps, videos and pictures.
Forks started ticking on the plates. In between laughs were springing out. My mates were saying, " i am full". I am full, but i have just started.
I darted my eyes around me. It's beautiful to look around. I thought; One day, I will also own a beautiful restaurant, In sha Allah.
Done with dinner, but still half cake is resting on the table. Don't worry, cake we will eat you with tea and you will be finished. See cake, your smile has vanished. Hehehe
We went outside of the restaurant where decorations of new years were still hanged. We took our pictures by standing in the frame.
Then i got busy with taking pictures of others but when it comes to me they dont really capture nicely. They just show me as bad as they could π but i dont usually complain.
We walked from there and booked our ride to the nearest tea shop. Can you believe... we were 7 in a mini car, including driver. We were packed inside the car. It's become a laughable memory.
Ordered chai for all of us. Enjoyed tea and played a game "Kill, Marry, Die"..... Boom. We laughed a lot.
At last, i went to book shop with Anita to give her a card for birthday. I wrote some emotions out of my heart on that card and gave it to Anita.

This post is extra special because yesterday on Thursday, I completed my one year in throwback Thursday community.
I took start in this community by posting last year's birthday party of Anita . Completing one year was full of colors. I got immense appreciation in this community. Even i found a good friend beyond boundaries @jesuslnrs. He always supported me. Thank you for honoring me.
