Yesterday, like the day before, I was drawing (parping) cats.
What is going on in the world, both in plain sight and behind the scenes, is pretty grim. Creating (f)art and laughter helps. It's free medicine and actually healing.
In case you don't know what the verb 'parping' stands for and/or missed that post, I suggest reading
Cat-apulted by parping before you continue.
Anyhow, I started by making a similar drawing to the one that I shared in that previous post, depicting Beniamino, flying through the air, powered by his own gas.
This time I gave him a pronounced baboon (like) butt.
Two days ago, Clare laughed loads when she read cat-apulted by parping.
I couldn't hear much of that, aside from her initial laughter, because I was parping on the toilet downstairs butt I later learnt that one of the main reasons why she laughed so much had been Beniamino's baboon butt and the 'PARP' coming out of another part of his body.
To see what I mean, you have to go back to that previous drawing, as shown here:
I told Clare that I hadn't intended to draw a baboon butt butt that I had intuitively picked the color pink for the lower body to make him look like a half naked, kind of naked mole cat and that the 'butt cleavage' had been caused by me trying to color near the edge of the two pages, with vertical lines as a result.
In that drawing, The PARP! came out of where his butthole should be, underneath his tail.
And Now Back To Yesterday...
When I continued on my drawing, sitting in the gardens below, the actual Beniamino came walking by...
He wanted desperately to sit on my lap. To be more precise, on top of my notebook and crayons.
It took me a while to get him in such a position that I could photograph both him and the drawing ( that shows him parping through the sky ).
Two drawings, to be more precise.
Here's two more close ups...
And one that shows the entire drawing.
The sky, mountains and house were inspired by my actual view.
I didn't manage to have Beniamino on my lap for a long time. He kept using his nails and both of us couldn't get comfortable but I enjoyed my time in the garden.
I went back inside when it started raining.
@clareartista told me later that the crayons I have been using are actually water color crayons, which might have led to an intersting effect, had I stayed outdoors a little longer.
🌧️
I also drew a parping dog and something that might be a parping frog (like humanoid) but I decided to not share them, for now.
After all, one parp a day, already keeps the doctor away.
I am about to take a bath.
Let's see if it turns into a jacuzzi/bubble bath or not ;^)
