I realize most of you were looking forward to another 'Adventures of the House Sitter' or should I say 'House Shitter'? post but I am already tired of the subject and it's in the past anyway, so I will instead return to my series called 'Diarrhea of a Creative'.
I might return to the house(s)hitting adventures at a later time though
Monday, around noon, my niece and nephew were dropped off at my place for a sleepover.
Not for the first time, my niece told me that she would like to live with me, which is cute ( she might not realize that, if that would indeed be the case, it would not be all fun and play, all the time, as she is pretty much used to now ;^) ).
Anyhow, I could make this a very long post, talking about two nights and almost three entire days, spent with my niece and nephew.
I could list all the things that we did and focus on the creative parts, but I basically want to say that, at the end of their stay, before their mother ( my twin sister ) picked them up again, we started creating the monsters depicted.
Basically, by folding a piece of paper into three pieces/ three parts and then one person drawing the legs of the monster, another drawing the arms and stomach or the middle/ center part of the body and a third person finishing with the monster's head ( or in another order ).
The idea being that you don't see the parts that the others create until the entire thing is 'unfolded' at the end
This is something that I enjoy to do and - as soon as I proposed it to my niece and nephew - they enthusiastically replied ( and that after having watched their favorite animated series for almost two hours in a row haha! ) and wanting to watch even more episodes.
I hereby show you the result of those monsters.
My favorite parts are the hairy stomach and - armpits of the fat hamburger eater ( drawn by my nephew ) and the scary head, drawn by my niece, on top of the monster of which I messed up the middle part by deciding to draw a head on its stomach and then turning it upside down, out of confusion over the lines that my nephew had drawn. Or was it perhaps the other way around?
It seems like the head has been drawn where the legs should have been and vice versa.
No matter what, it's a funny looking mess.
I also like the rainbow colored boots drawn by my niece :^)
