The following li'l poem reminded me of the aforementioned lizard and his rapp(tor)ing, of this bro from another mo' of Hypersensitivosaurus.
This time around I am referring to 'The Monster of Disco' though.
THE MONSTER OF DISCO
A philosoraptor
and sometimes philoso rapper
King of the dance floor
a giant lizard
and 'early' adap(t)or
who clearly isn't
afraid
to sway the scepter
always willing
to dance MORE!
Yesterday, the theme of loneliness and disconnectedness popped up in my mind, for the umptieth time.
I felt people didn't have time for me and, worse, I felt misunderstood/ like I'm not deeply understood by many, even by those close to me.
I messaged my friend @clareartista and exchanged thoughts. She sure could relate and it made me realize that I was basically picking up on a general feeling, that is strongly present in this world, nowadays.
That it is not necessarily about me.
I also had the insight that it's way easier for me to connect with ( young ) children than with most adults, as the former are still pure, in touch with their inner selves/ nature and, more importantly, they still play ( a lot ) and are basically in the now ( most of the time. At least a lot more than ( most of ) us adults, who escape in their jobs or use all kind of other means to escape from themselves, further disconnecting.
I then thought that perhaps I should try to connect my dino world more to children, one way or another, instead of desperately trying to reach/ get through to adults.
thus he wrote on his blog, mainly read by adults but - luckily - by a bunch who will or might understand...
TO BE CONVINUED...
Whatever the case, the whole disconnect thing reminded me of a story that I wrote, back in the year of ( increased ) disconnect:
2020
I called that story 'The Monster of Dis-Con-Nec-Ted-Ness'.
It ended up in my notorious book: The Life of Hypersensitivosaurus: 22 Short Stories about Dinos and other Animals of which I only printed 10 copies, early 2022. Most of those copies were handed out to direct family. I have 3 copies left in my home, right here.
Correction. I just found out that I wrote the above story in April 2021, for different reasons. You can find it, plus the behind the scenes, here

So, yesterday I thought up The Monster of 'Disco' ( a further abbreviation of the aforementioned creature, a fragmented lizard that actually referred to Hypersensitivosaurus ).
Today, while at the river beach, I felt like drawing a dancing dino but looking up disco dancers sounded boring, so I went for breakdancers instead.
It led to the sketchy above this post and some other anatomically incorrect ones that I'll shamelessly share with you all, just because I can:
All the head spinning makes our favorite lizard green - nauseating moves.
Not The End
Let's just disco nnect here...
