La interacción entre Hanji Zoe y Levi Ackerman desde que se conocieron fue bastante contrastante.
Mientras Hanji es más expresiva, más abierta a decir lo que piensa y no tiene miedo de mostrar lo que le entusiasma, Levi es, por el contrario, callado, cerrado e inexpresivo y muchas veces rudo y directo al decir las cosas.
Pensé que sería divertido ponerlos en una situación como el “Pocky Game”, donde en una misma imagen se pudiera ver el contraste de ambos.
Hice la ilustración con brochas de lápices acuarelables y el fondo con brochas de tizas y pasteles. Me centré más en las expresiones de sus caras para reflejar sus personalidades. Hacer expresiones es algo que me encanta mucho cuando estoy dibujando un manga, creo que entre eso y dibujar el cabello es lo que más tiempo invierto al hacer una página.
Mientras hacía la ilustración, no podía evitar pensar cuál de los dos se rendiría antes que se terminaran de comer el caramelo. ¿Sería el valiente Capitán que se enfrenta a los titanes sólo el primero en dejarlo con la excusa de que es una tontería? O, por el contrario, ¿la extrovertida Hanji terminaría intimidada con la indiferencia del Capitán Levi?
Les comparto el proceso. Hice el coloreado de los personajes todo en una capa para aprovechar que los colores se mezclaran mejor.

The interaction between Hanji Zoe and Levi Ackerman since they met was quite contrasting.
While Hanji is more expressive, more open to speaking her mind and not afraid to show what excites her, Levi is, on the contrary, quiet, closed and expressionless and often rude and direct when saying things.
I thought it would be fun to put them in a situation like the "Pocky Game", where in the same image you could see the contrast of both.
I did the illustration with watercolor pencil brushes and the background with chalk and pastel brushes. I focused more on the expressions on their faces to reflect their personalities. Making expressions is something that I love a lot when I'm drawing a manga, I think that between that and drawing the hair is what I spend the most time when I am making a page.
While I was doing the illustration, I couldn't help but think which of the two would give up before they finished eating the candy. Would the brave Captain facing off against the Titans just be the first to call it quits with the excuse that it's nonsense? Or, by the opposite, would the outgoing Hanji end up intimidated by Captain Levi's indifference?
I share the process. I did the coloring of the characters all in one layer to take advantage of the colors blending better.
