Where does the value of HIVE (the token) comes from?
The price of HIVE is based on the supply and demand of the token, as determined by buyers and sellers on the exchanges, a lot of people hold in anticipation of increased price, since Hive is a growing blockchain, new applications and services can create more usage and desire for HIVE tokens.
The Hive Blockchain produce new tokens each time a block is produced. Out of the new tokens that are generated; 65% go to the reward pool (the platform reward fund), which is split between authors and curators of content, 15% of the new tokens are awarded to holders of Hive Power (just by having HP you can earn 2.5% interest yearly on it!). 10% of the new tokens are awarded to the Hive Proposal System. and the remaining 10% pays for the witnesses to power the blockchain.
Hive creates new tokens at a yearly inflation rate of 9.5%. The inflation rate decreases 0.01% every 250,000 blocks, or about 0.5% per year. The inflation will continue decreasing at this pace until the overall inflation rate reaches 0.95%. source
If you didn’t understand nothing of that about inflation, don’t worry just know that inflation is caused by increases in the currency supply. meaning the bigger the inflation the more coins there are in existence. it helps a lot to increase value to actually lower the total supply of the coin.
HIVE has a value as the native base layer token of a decentralized platform, where the community is in charge of adding value to it by continue to develop more and more improvements to our already existent dapps and to add more dapps to our ever-growing ecosystem.
¿De dónde viene el valor de HIVE (el token)?
El precio de HIVE se basa en la oferta y la demanda del token, según lo determinado por los compradores y vendedores en los Exchanges, mucha gente mantiene sus tokens en espera anticipando un aumento del precio, ya que Hive es una cadena de bloques en crecimiento, las nuevas aplicaciones y servicios pueden crear más uso y deseo de tokens HIVE.
La Hive Blockchain produce nuevos tokens cada vez que se produce un bloque. De los nuevos tokens que se generan; El 65% se destina a la piscina de recompensas (el fondo de recompensas de la plataforma), que se divide entre autores y curadores de contenido, el 15% de los nuevos tokens se otorgan a los titulares de Hive Power (solo con HP puedes ganar un 2.5% de interés anual). Si no entendiste nada de eso sobre la inflación, no te preocupes, solo sepa que la inflación es causada por aumentos en la oferta monetaria. lo que significa que cuanto mayor es la inflación, más monedas existen. ayuda mucho a aumentar el valor para reducir realmente el suministro total de la moneda.
