On my third day on Margarita Island, I decided to visit a place I had been excited about since the beginning: La Vela Mall. From the outside, it already stands out, but once I walked through it at a slower pace, I completely fell in love.
The first thing that caught my attention was its architecture, which is designed so that some parts actually look like a boat. Yes, like a huge ship in the middle of the city! And if it looks beautiful during the day, it’s even more impressive at night. Everything lights up in a way that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another world.
I wandered around the mall for a while and discovered stores we don’t have in Barquisimeto, which made me super excited because I got to shop for different things. My favorite stop was Forever 21, where everything was on sale (the perfect combo!).
After all that walking, I decided to grab something to eat right there. I went for something Subway-style—quick and tasty. And of course, I had to end the day on a sweet note by trying the new McFlurry from McDonald’s, which was absolutely amazing. A delicious surprise I didn’t see coming!
If you’re planning a trip to Margarita, I highly recommend checking out La Vela. It’s not just a place to shop, but also to enjoy the atmosphere, take great photos, and have a fun time. I loved it, and I’m sure you will too. 💙🌴

En mi tercer dĂa en la isla de Margarita, decidĂ visitar un lugar que desde el principio me tenĂa muy emocionada: el centro comercial La Vela. Desde afuera ya llama la atenciĂłn, pero cuando lo recorrĂ con calma, me terminĂ© de enamorar. Lo primero que me encantĂł fue su arquitectura, que está diseñada para que en algunas partes parezca un bote. ¡SĂ, como un barco enorme en medio de la ciudad! Y si durante el dĂa luce bonito, de noche es aĂşn más impresionante. Todo se ilumina de una forma que te hace sentir en otro mundo. Di varias vueltas por el centro comercial y descubrĂ tiendas que no tenemos en Barquisimeto, lo cual me emocionĂł muchĂsimo porque pude hacer compras diferentes. Mis favoritas fueron en Forever 21, donde además estaban con descuento (¡una combinaciĂłn perfecta!). DespuĂ©s de caminar tanto, decidĂ comer ahĂ mismo. Me fui por algo estilo Subway, rápido y sabroso. Y como no podĂa faltar el toque dulce, cerrĂ© el dĂa probando el nuevo McFlurry de McDonald’s, que estaba espectacular. ¡Una delicia que no me esperaba! Si estás planeando un viaje a Margarita, te sĂşper recomiendo darte una vuelta por La Vela. No solo es un lugar para hacer compras, sino tambiĂ©n para disfrutar el ambiente, tomarte buenas fotos y pasar un rato diferente. A mĂ me encantĂł, y estoy segura de que a ti tambiĂ©n te va a fascinar. 💙🌴
