Yesterday I had a nice day together with my daughter: we went shopping with the special mission of looking for outfits for her graduate graduation ceremony, which will be next month. Early in the morning we started our tour through several stores, excited to find the perfect outfit for such a significant and important occasion.
Between fittings, window displays and racks, we came across some real beauties. I, who have a weakness for accessories, was delighted, while she was trying on outfits, to see earrings, necklaces and bracelets that I would love to have in my jewelry box. However, I kept telling myself: "for now you don't need them, honey". But I keep them in my memory to see if I can buy them later because they are so beautiful.

Ayer tuve un día lindo junto a mi hija: salimos de compras con la misión especial de buscar trajes para su acto de grado de postgrado, que será el próximo mes. Desde temprano comenzamos nuestro recorrido por varias tiendas, ilusionadas por encontrar el outfit perfecto para una ocasión tan significativa e importante.
Entre prueba y prueba, vitrinas y percheros, nos encontramos con verdaderas bellezas. Yo, que tengo debilidad por los accesorios, me deleité, mientras ella se probaba trajes, viendo aretes, collares y pulseras que me encantaría tener en mi joyero. Sin embargo, me repetía a mí misma: "por ahora no los necesitas, cariño". Eso sí, me los guardo en la memoria para ver si los puedo comprar más adelante porque son muy bellos.

As it could not be missed, we made a technical stop at Juan Valdez to recharge our batteries. So we went to the closest coffee shop to the place, and ordered our favorite combos. For me, cappuccino with cheese croissant and for my daughter the coffee granita and the chocochips cookie that she loves. We savored it with pleasure, rested for a while and then resumed our search with more enthusiasm.
In the middle of the tour, I remembered a post by Rosita, @rlathulerie, in which she said how good it is to go shopping, even if you don't buy anything. And it's true. That feeling of walking, looking, talking and sharing is revitalizing. But I must say that, even though I didn't buy anything, we made the most of the day: we walked 16,000 steps! Just as you read it, and my daughter found what she was looking for which makes me very happy and, best of all, we enjoyed the process.
We returned home tired, but happy and satisfied. The excitement of preparing every detail for this special moment in my daughter's life fills my heart. And sharing it together makes it even more unforgettable.
Como no podía faltar, hicimos una parada técnica en Juan Valdez para recargar energías. Así que nos fuimos a la cafetería más cercana al lugar, y pedimos nuestro combos favoritos. Para mí, capuchino con el croissant de queso y para mi hija el granizado de café y la galleta chocochips que le encanta. Lo saboreamos con gusto, descansamos un rato y luego retomamos la búsqueda con más ganas.
En medio del recorrido, recordé una publicación de Rosita, @rlathulerie, en la que decía lo bien que hace salir de shopping, aunque no se compre nada. Y es cierto. Esa sensación de caminar, mirar, conversar y compartir es revitalizante. Pero debo decir que, aunque yo no compré nada, le sacamos buen provecho al día: hicimos ¡16.000 pasos! Así como lo leen, y mi hija encontró lo que estaba buscando lo que me hace muy feliz y, lo mejor, disfrutamos el proceso.
Volvimos a casa cansadas, pero felices y satisfechas. La emoción de preparar cada detalle para este momento tan especial en la vida de mi hija me llena el corazón. Y compartirlo juntas, lo hace aún más inolvidable.
