“Be kind, life is a mirror” is a phrase that resonated deeply in my heart a few days ago and today I wanted to put it on my motivational board to be the first of this year, because, sometimes we forget that our actions and words are reflections that the world returns to us. When I am kind, when I smile sincerely or extend a hand of support, I feel that life responds to me with small flashes of light: a grateful gesture, an unexpected smile, or simply the peace of knowing that I did something good.

“Sé amable, la vida es un espejo” es una frase que resonó profundamente en mi corazón hace unos días y hoy quise ponerla en mi tablero motivacional para que sea la primera de este año, pues, a veces olvidamos que nuestras acciones y palabras son reflejos que el mundo nos devuelve. Cuando soy amable, cuando sonrío sinceramente o extiendo una mano de apoyo, siento que la vida me responde con pequeños destellos de luz: un gesto agradecido, una sonrisa inesperada, o simplemente la paz de saber que hice algo bueno.

It is not always easy to be kind, especially when we face indifference or gray days, but I have learned that, in those moments, kindness has the power to break down barriers. When I treat others with patience and empathy, I notice that, somehow, that energy comes back to me, multiplied.
Life is a mirror and also a teacher. It teaches me that everything I give, be it love, understanding or even just a kind word, comes back. There is a reason why they say that life is a boomerang. So, every day, I try to look inside myself and ask: What do I want life to give me back? The answer always guides me: I want kindness, and to receive it, I must sow it. Because in the end, being kind transforms others and transforms myself.
No siempre es fácil ser amable, especialmente cuando nos enfrentamos a la indiferencia o a días grises, pero he aprendido que, en esos momentos, la amabilidad tiene el poder de romper barreras. Cuando trato a los demás con paciencia y empatía, noto que, de alguna manera, esa energía regresa a mí, multiplicada.
La vida es un espejo y, también, una maestra. Me enseña que todo lo que doy, ya sea amor, comprensión o incluso una simple palabra amable, regresa. Por algo se dice que la vida es un boomerang. Así que, cada día, trato de mirar dentro de mí y preguntarme: ¿Qué quiero que me devuelva la vida? La respuesta siempre me guía: quiero bondad, y para recibirla, debo sembrarla. Porque al final, ser amable transforma a los demás y me transforma a mí misma.
