Sometimes, I just have to create the content on the spot. Yesterday, I was looking at some ideas of patterns to draw some other Zentangle. A video came about of several patterns arranged in sectors of a page. This one I drew is one of such patterns. It reminds me of something I have seen before, but I cannot pinpoint what it is exactly.
The idea of repetition is crucial to get an idea of how things work. That phenomenon we call "muscle memory" is not explained by those words. It should be more something like impulse insulation. The fact is that as we keep repeating something, our nervous systems understand it needs to find a way such a movement works without resistance nor waste energy doing it. So it creates insulation sound the nerves that are involved in such movement. This whenever it needs to be performed, the nervous impulse moves smoothly. It is akin to having insulation on a wire. Electricity moves without waste to a point.
I can see by the quality of my lines that the time spent not doing them has worked against their shape. It is hard to make the movement since I haven't been practicing enough. I'll get back into making these patterns slowly until I get back into making some more complex.
However, it will be a matter of taking baby steps until my hands stops feeling heavy drawing a line.
