Este post está escrito en dos idiomas y dividido para facilitar la lectura.
Una de mis sagas literarias favoritas de todos los tiempos es Harry Potter, de hecho, fueron de los primeros libros que leí cuando era niña. Desde ese entonces, quedé completamente enamorada de todo lo relacionado con el mundo mágico, no había momento de mi día en que no pensara en las historias y de lo increíble que sería vivir esa experiencia.
En una de mis tantas caminatas por la ciudad descubrí una tienda que vende única y exclusivamente Funko Pops y, al entrar me encontré con la sorpresa de que tenían la colección de Harry Potter, no les voy a mentir, me sentí niña por un momento y los ojos se me iluminaron.
One of my favorite literary sagas of all time is Harry Potter, in fact, they were among the first books I read as a child. Since then, I was completely in love with everything related to the magical world, there wasn't a moment of my day when I didn't think about the stories and how amazing it would be to live that experience.
In one of my many walks around the city I discovered a store that sells only and exclusively Funko Pops and, upon entering I was surprised to find that they had the Harry Potter collection, I'm not going to lie, I felt like a child for a moment and my eyes lit up.
Nunca pensé que me obsesionaría tanto el adquirir unas figuras hasta que las vi. ¿Reconocen ese momento en el que el consumismo se apodera de tus cinco sentidos? Todos lo hemos sentido alguna vez y, es agradable complacer ese capricho en ocasiones.
Sé que hay muchas ediciones en cuanto a Harry Potter se refiere, así que coleccionarlas todo sería realmente un logro personal, pero creo que mi meta de éste mes ha sido el poder tener al trío de oro en mi estantería. Especialmente porque también estoy comprando los libros de la edición del 20 aniversario de Gryffindor (mi casa). Y la personalidad que está adoptando mi rinconcito mágico es preciosa.
I never thought I would be so obsessed with acquiring some figures until I saw them. Do you recognize that moment when consumerism takes over your five senses? We've all felt it at one time or another and, it's nice to indulge that whim on occasion.
I know there are a lot of editions when it comes to Harry Potter, so collecting them all would really be a personal accomplishment, but I think my goal this month has been to get the golden trio on my shelf. Especially since I'm also buying the Gryffindor (my house) 20th anniversary edition books. And the personality my little magical corner is taking on is gorgeous.
Los Funko Pops están hechos de vinil y, siento que por ésta razón son un poco delicados, es por ello que prefiero mantenerlos en su caja, por lo menos hasta que logre comprar una estantería más espaciosa, en donde sé que van a estar sin que nadie los toque.
Cada uno me costó 20 euros y, sé que no están precisamente económicos, pero, por un capricho al mes lo vale. Además, sé que tendrán un gran significado en mi vida porque representan literalmente todo aquello que amo desde la infancia, digamos que es algo que deseo darle a mi niña interior, a mi yo de 11 años.
The Funko Pops are made of vinyl and, I feel that for this reason they are a bit delicate, that's why I prefer to keep them in their box, at least until I manage to buy a more spacious shelf, where I know they will be untouched.
Each one cost me 20 euros and, I know they are not exactly cheap, but, for a whim a month it is worth it. Besides, I know they will have a great meaning in my life because they represent literally everything I love since childhood, let's say it's something I want to give to my inner child, to my 11 year old self.
Y no les voy a negar que también le tengo muchas a ganas a adquirir las figuras de El Señor de los Anillos. Por cierto, hay ediciones especiales muy bonitas, como lo es una de Hedwig en tamaño casi real (que espero traerla pronto, crucemos los dedos porque si).
He cumplido con una linda misión para mí, que es consentir a mi infancia. ¿Cuál sería ese gran regalo que le darías a tu niño interior?
And I'm not going to deny that I'm also looking forward to acquiring the Lord of the Rings figurines. By the way, there are very nice special editions, such as a Hedwig in almost life-size (I hope to bring it soon, fingers crossed that I will).
