Last week, we visited the Culture Museum in Valencia, in the state of Carabobo, Venezuela, and we were totally charmed by all the renovated spaces. They're set up to host tons of cultural activities for the whole family. That's why we went back this week—to check out more of these spaces and let our kids appreciate the art and culture being promoted. Our goal was to spark their curiosity and learning, and of course, create a beautiful family memory.
Disfrutando de El Principito, la danza y el arte en el museo de la cultura en Valencia
La semana pasada visitamos el museo de la cultura en Valencia, Edo. Carabobo, Venezuela y quedamos encantados con todos los espacios renovados para que se den muchas actividades culturales, donde participa toda la familia. Por eso esta semana volvimos para conocer más de estos espacios y que nuestros hijos aprecien el arte y la cultura que se está promocionando, a fin de fomentar su curiosidad y el aprendizaje, además de crear un bello recuerdo familiar.
The museum has four halls with various exhibits. Not long ago, it hosted the 19th World Poetry Festival. Also, from July to August, they have the 1st National Illustration Salon, photography workshops, poetry workshops, an anime exhibition, and lots of outdoor activities around the museum, which have been spruced up for everyone to enjoy.
Este museo cuenta con 4 salas donde se realizan exposiciones variadas, hasta hace poco estuvo el 19 Festival mundial de Poesía, también entre los meses de julio y agosto están el 1er Salón nacional de Ilustración, Jornadas de Fotografía, Talleres de Poesía, Exposición de Anime, y muchas actividades al aire libre en los alrededores del museo, que han sido adecuadas para el disfrute de todos los transeúntes.
We got to see the illustration exhibit and a dance group that performed folk pieces from our culture. Even though it was a cloudy day, it didn't stop us from having a great time together. My son even got to go into a space called Nancy's Bus, where little kids can experiment with various forms of art and learn how to create their own using simple things they can find at home.
Nosotros pudimos disfrutar de la exposición sobre ilustración y la presentación de un grupo de danza que interpretó piezas folclóricas de nuestra cultura. A pesar que fue un dia nublado eso no impidió que pudiéramos pasar un rato ameno juntos. Mi hijo tuvo la oportunidad de ingresar a un espacio llamado El Autobús de Nancy donde los niños pequeños experimentan varias manifestaciones de arte y como ellos mismos pueden realizarlas con elementos sencillos que encuentran en casa.
We absolutely loved the area decorated with a theme from The Little Prince, inspired by the story by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It's kind of like a café where anyone can sit and enjoy the space, and take pictures with sculptures inspired by the tale. The small building has a neon sign with the famous quote: "All grown-ups were once children—although few of them remember it." This brought back memories of my own childhood when I first read the book. What wise and very true words.
Nos encanto el espacio decorado con temática del Principio, inspirado en el cuento de Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Es una especie de café donde cualquiera puede tomar asiento y disfrutar del espacio y tomar fotos con las esculturas inspiradas en el cuento. El pequeño edificio tiene un cartel de neo con la famosa frase: "Todas las personas mayores fueron al principio niños. Aunque pocas de ellas lo recuerdan" Esto me trajo recuerdos de mi niñez cuando lei este libro la primera vez, que sabias palabras y muy acertadas.

In the end, we had such a good time. It was a different, relaxing afternoon away from screens, showing our kids that it's possible to have fun without watching videos, movies, or playing on devices. We're really looking forward to visiting more places like this during the holidays and are constantly keeping an eye out for new announcements about activities in outdoor spaces, preferably with little to no cost.
Al final la pasamos muy bien fue una tarde diferente y relajada, alejados de las pantallas, mostrándole a nuestros hijos que es posible pasar buenos momentos sin estar viendo videos, películas o jugando con dispositivos. Estamos ansiosos por poder visitar estas vacaciones más sitios como este, atentos constantemente a nuevos anuncios de actividades en espacios al aire libre preferiblemente con el mínimo costo posible.
