Durante la tercera semana del mes de julio de 2025 tuve el placer de compartir un cierre cultural en una casita de artes aplicadas, ubicada en una zona popular de Caracas de la parroquia Sucre, sector Pérez Bonalde.
During the third week of July 2025 I had the pleasure of sharing a cultural closure in a small house of applied arts, located in a popular area of Caracas in the parish of Sucre, in the Pérez Bonalde sector.

Y por supuesto mi taller de percusión por el que fui en búsqueda de recibir clases de maracas, objetivo aún no cumplido por no poseer el instrumento ideal. Sin embargo me quedé formando parte del grupo recibiendo clases de percusión latina con niños y adultos desde hacer 4 meses una vez por semana, con ellos he encontrado una nueva forma de sentir y disfrutar la percusión.
And of course my percussion workshop for which I went in search of receiving maracas lessons, a goal not yet fulfilled because I do not have the ideal instrument. However I remained part of the group receiving Latin percussion classes with children and adults for 4 months once a week, with them I have found a new way to feel and enjoy percussion.

Fue así como recibí la invitación para participar en el cierre de año, donde se hicieron presente los trabajos de yoga, artes plásticas, serigrafía, cerámica, música (percusión, coro y piano), y que por el poco tiempo que llevo en el grupo, y por lo mínimo aprendido con la percusión latina, no me atreví a participar en la muestra.
This is how I received the invitation to participate in the closing of the year, where the works of yoga, plastic arts, serigraphy, ceramics, music (percussion, choir and piano) were present, and because of the short time I have been in the group, and the minimum I have learned with Latin percussion, I did not dare to participate in the exhibition.
Sin embargo fui y apoyé como público a mis compañeros, y estando en mi butaca, el profesor José Granados sabiendo sobre mi trabajo con la percusión afrovenezolana, me invitó a hacer una pequeña demostración en el cumaco, ejecutando un golpe de tambor del estado la Guaira, invitación que acepté aún estando muy nerviosa.
However, I went and supported my classmates as an audience, and while I was in my seat, Professor José Granados, knowing about my work with Afro-Venezuelan percussion, invited me to do a small demonstration on the cumaco, playing a drum beat from the state of La Guaira, an invitation I accepted even though I was very nervous.
Al parecer la muestra que hice causó impacto, recibiendo elogios y aplausos hasta solicitud de número telefónico y redes sociales 😁 cosa que me hizo sentir extraña ya que siempre he tocado en conjunto con mis compañeras de @herenciamujertambor, pero creo esto fue una grata oportunidad para demostrarme que ya puedo empezar a realizar interpretaciones como solista con el tambor.
Apparently the show I did made an impact, receiving praise and applause even requesting phone numbers and social networks 😁 something that made me feel strange since I have always played together with my companions of @herenciamujertambor, but I think this was a welcome opportunity to show me that I can already start performing as a soloist with the drum.
Para este día asistieron antiguos estudiantes de percusión que recibieron clases con nuestro profesor José Granados. Ellos en conjunto nos dieron la bienvenida y felicitaciones aportando la idea de hacer otro encuentro para celebrarnos en una compartir culinario colectiva.
This day was attended by former percussion students who received classes with our teacher José Granados. Together they welcomed us and congratulated us, contributing with the idea of having another meeting to celebrate us in a collective culinary sharing.
Compartir que disfrute hace unos días, programado por el señor Emiro ex alumno del profesor. Él hizo la propuesta para revivir un momento que tuvieron allí donde hicieron en el gran patio un arroz con mango productos de los ingredientes que todos aportaron. más lo que el gran árbol les ofreció.
Share that I enjoyed a few days ago, programmed by Mr. Emiro former student of the teacher. He made the proposal to relive a moment they had there where they made in the large courtyard a rice with mango products of the ingredients that everyone contributed. plus what the big tree offered them.
Antes esta invitación acepté y apoyé en conjunto con otros que estábamos presentes para acordar la fecha para esta propuesta, siempre y cuando fuera aprobado por la dirección del plantel. Esta propuesta fue aceptada donde nos dimos cita la tercera semana del mes de julio, llevando los ingredientes para crear un arroz con vegetales que también llevó: chorizos, pollo, salchicha y especies naturales que dieron un gusto fenomenal, más unos bollitos aliñados qué a una de nuestras compañeras se le ocurrió realizar al instante.
Before this invitation I accepted and supported together with others who were present to agree on the date for this proposal, as long as it was approved by the school management. This proposal was accepted and we met the third week of July, bringing the ingredients to create a rice with vegetables that also included: sausages, chicken, sausage and natural spices that gave a phenomenal taste, plus some seasoned rolls that one of our classmates had the idea of making on the spot.
La degustación estuvo de lujo, donde todos incluyendo los vigilantes estuvimos sentados en la mesa con mucho apetito, anécdotas jocosas y agradecimientos que no dejo de ser el plato principal.
The tasting was luxurious, where all of us, including the watchers, were seated at the table with lots of appetite, humorous anecdotes and gratitude, which was still the main course.
Y para finalizar, ¡Quien canta su mal espanta! por eso todos los que nos quedamos recogiendo hasta las hojas del patio, tomamos un instrumento musical con el que amenizamos la tarde noche de este armonioso día del "El arroz con arte que nos integró".
And finally, who sings his evil scares! that's why all of us who stayed up to collect the leaves in the yard, we took a musical instrument with which we entertained the evening of this harmonious day of “The rRice with art that integrated us”.
