Warm greetings my friends of Hive, especially to all of you who are part of this great community of @lifestyle. I hope you are enjoying these first days of 2025 and that they are always of much benefit to all.

This time I want to share with you the preparations prior to the traditional procession number 167 of the divine shepherdess virgin in the city of Barquisimeto, Venezuela.

As it is already a tradition, every January 14 from the town of Santa Rosa, located east of the city, the divine shepherdess leaves in procession to the cathedral church of Barquisimeto accompanied by thousands of faithful who come to pay promises from all corners of the country and abroad.

Last January 5, the virgin was taken down from the niche where she rests in the sanctuary of Santa Rosa and was exposed to the public, dressed in the costume that she will wear this January 14 and that was donated by the community of the Redemptorist missionaries in gratitude for the 100 years of presence in Venezuela of this community of religious.

A large number of parishioners gathered there to appreciate and venerate the image before its departure to Barquisimeto. There was a solemn mass that day and later the following day a novena began that will end on the 13th, just before its departure.

Yesterday a good part of Redemptorist servers, we were present on the second day of this novena to accompany our divine shepherdess virgin. It was a beautiful celebration in her honor and we could appreciate the beauty of the image with her golden dress, where several icons of the Redemptorists can be appreciated such as: the image of the perpetual help, the Redemptorist saints and the shield of the congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer.

A pocos dias de la tradicional procesión de la divina pastora

Saludos cordiales mis amigos de Hive especialmento a todos los que integran esta gran comunidad de @lifestyle. Espero estén disfrutando de estos primeros días del 2025 y que sean siempre de mucho provecho para todos.

En esta oportunidad les quiero compartir los preparativos previos a la tradicional procesión número 167 de la virgen divina pastora en la ciudad de Barquisimeto, Venezuela.

Como ya es una tradición, todos los 14 de enero desde el poblado de Santa Rosa, ubicado al este de la ciudad, sale la divina pastora en procesión hasta la iglesia catedral de Barquisimeto acompañada por miles de fieles que vienen a pagar promesas de todos los rincondes del pais y del exterior.

El pasado 5 de enero se llevó a cabo la bajada de la virgen del nicho donde reposa en el santuario de Santa Rosa y fue expuesta ante el público, vestida con el traje que lucirá este 14 de enero y que fue donado por la comunidad de los misioneros redentoristas como agraecimiento por cumplirse este año los 100 años de presencia en Venezuela de esta comunidad de religiosos.

Allí se congregó una multitudinaria cantidad de feligreses para apreciar y venerar la imagen antes de su salida hacia Barquisimeto. Hubo una misa solemne ese día y posteriormente al día siguiente comenzó una novena que teminará el dia 13, justo antes de su salida.

El día de ayer una buena parte de servidores redentoristas, nos hicimos presentes en el segundo día de esta novena para acompañar a nuestra virgen divina pastora. Fue una hermosa celebración en su honor y pudimos apreciar la belleza de la imagen con su traje dorado, donde se aprecian varios iconos de los redentoristas como lo son: la imagen del perpetuo socorro, los santos redentoristas y el escudo de la congregación del santísimo redentor.

Hasta aqui esta breve reseña, pronto estaré llevándoles mas detalles de esta tradicional procesión.
