I have been absent for sometime now, due to my active involvement in my farm work. You know this is a planting season for us that live in Africa. The rains are here to help every planted crops for germination, formation and for quality productions, times and chances were quite slim for me to combine both farming and content creation. But now, I'm free from that, I'm here again just to cotinueously creating contents.
I'm just happy my planting assignment has been completed, therefore, has my space and time to return home to continue what i love doing, blogging Hahaha 😂, I've missed everyone here, so how are we doing?. I can see, we are irresistibly doing what we know how to do best, creating beautiful and meaningful contents..., Amazing!
HER TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE
Okay, surfice it to say that i want to talk about or to highlight on the traditional marriage of my sister in-law that took place earlier this year.

It was a faithful day with a complete sunshine in the sky. Everyone was happy, there was great jubilation in the house, reason being that it was like an overdue marriage. The expectations had been very high about her getting married but it was not forthcoming. Most times suitors will come, everything will be moving fine but suddenly, they may not come again. She had had an uncountable disappointments getting married, If to be measured.

She is actually the last born in my husband's family of 8 siblings, she is their last born. All her elderly siblings have long been settled maritally, their mother already is an octagarian, i mean she is already a great grandmother but this lady was still around and single.... It became a consign to everyone in the family and in the environ.
As God may have it, suddenly someone recommended this very young man to her who was in need of a wife, the man came up, saw and accepted her, they decided to tie the knot, why not?, everyone in the family began to pray that it comes to pass.
Very quickly, both of them picked a date and the whole family members had a meeting and agreed for it to hold as fast as possible, Lo and behold, it finally had effect. It was a special day, a happy day, a surprising day that had a contagious smiles, laughter and unstoppable dance styles, vibes and joys.

My own joy knew no bounds, as i danced until many people were gaping at me in surprse that i could display such dancing vibes...😂😂, do you realize she was 43 years of age and this was her first marriage???. Really, we were very happy...

In this part of the world, once a woman is up to this age bracket, everyone becomes afraid if she can ever get married. Many will be murmuring and mocking her, most times right in her face, and will be waiting to see her reactions. Such has happened to her many times. I have always encouraged her that one day it will all be a thing of the past...., don't just worry yourself, your own husband will emerge one day, i had always told her because she had always confinded on me about everything and i know very much about them all.
That very day...10th January, 2025, was her own good and unforgettable day of having a man she calls, her own husband. Because every woman has theirs, but the most tasking problematic part of it all is how to know or locate who he is or where he is at the right time.
Many women are riped and are ready to get married but how to meet their own husband / spouse has been the issues.
It's a need for women to desire to get married and settle down in their own homes. How both of you can connect together to consume the marriage is another issue. Praying about it always and being intentional about it is very necessary if only you are very much ready to get married, my suggestion!.
It was meant to be a very low keyed type of traditional marriage. The husband explained emphatically he only wanted the two families and few important kindreds and a few important elders of the village at the occasion.
No braid's maids, no groom's men, no uniformed friends, (ashoebi) are needed. That's to say, he doesn't want an elaborate traditional marriage. No live band, only a DJ was hired, few canopies, not much chairs either.
But we the family members decided to cook rice, and served soft drinks and actually fulfilled the needed cultural activities needed by the kindreds of both parties.
She has been handed over to her husband's kindred because her dowery has been paid totally.
Both of them received the blessings of the elderly and that of her aged mother, we bought her some stuffs for her new home and married life then sent her off to her new home as the custom demands.... It was a glorious and a sweet day, i was totally fulfilled.
I volunteered myself to lead her to the market like for three good different times to make her purchases so that she wouldn't make mistakes and for her to look elegant and poised on that her special day and it was exactly so..., i was joyful 😂.
She has been a caring sister in-law, we have done many things together, she respects me, giving me my space as i do also to her, we co-operate in most things, so i took that occasion personal and upon myself to see that it was a beautiful one to be remembered.

This is the foundation and major marriage ceremony in this part of the world before court marriage or white wedding. This most recognized as marriage traditionally.
O well, thank you everyone for reading, that has been as it was. I'm happy, it came and gone all for good.
She is now happily married ever after.... Wowoo!.
