Hi, Lifestyle Community! Here I am showing you my journal. My minimalist journal. I decided to stay minimal because it is impractical for me to buy a lot of stationery sets. And as a mom, I prefer to spend the money on my children's needs. Since I don't have a job, it is impractical for me to buy many stationery stuff. I can still be creative while not spending so much money on this hobby. I love to reuse and recycle things.
How it started?
I introduced myself to my journaling when I wrote about buying a Poooli pocket printer. So far, this is the most expensive gadget I bought for this journaling hobby, and explained it there why I wanted this one.
I have no regrets buying this and I love it. For my notebook, I printed photos of my family.

The Inexpensive Materials I am Using
These are the only materials I have for journaling. I don't have so much stuff. I don't own any washi tapes and colorful stickers. I got a $6 notebook, about $2 pencil case, $3 colored pens, pencils and erasers.
I also got the stencils from Amazon. You can check the link here.

And so I created Stencil Swatches using my sketch pad. So far, I created 1 to 4. In this way, I can easily imagine which stencil should I use to design my layout planner.

I can also play around and create little designs along the way while doing the stencil swatches.
My Minimalist December Monthly Layout
Two days before November ended, I quickly created a December Monthly Layout using one of the stencils. I was just using a pencil and a black color pen. The layout design was everything stenciled from the grid to the days of the week, December 2023, and the snow, stars, and gifts. Everything felt so empty on the sides.
I decided to search for some black-and-white Christmas ornaments to create a bunch of stickers and I found them on this website at FreePik.

Le Français Journal
What is the real purpose of buying this notebook? That is to write in French.
J'ecrit en français.
I managed to do hand-lettering for the cover page.
Tu parles français?
Here is my handwriting, I divided one page into two columns. The left side is for Français and the right side is for Anglais. I may have misspelled some words here.

I am happy to say that my journal is so productive from creating a monthly layout for December and filling up the pages with French writings.
As a SAHM or stay-at-home mom, I am feeling more productive that I have this notebook to fill in every day. It is also wonderful to open the journal with the photos of my family. My kids love to open this journal with me while we are in bed before we go to sleep. <3
Next time, I'll do a weekly planner layout for next year's January 2024. I'll just check on @hiddenblade's journal entry like her weekly layout for inspiration.
