La Expo que abarca el sector ferretero y todo sobre la construcción
The third edition of Expo Ferretería y Construcción was held for three days in the city of Barquisimeto, where traders, students, investors and the general public gathered to learn about the latest trends in the hardware and construction sector.
The event was held from Friday, February 21 to Sunday, February 23. This time the venue chosen for the Expo was the Lidotel facilities. The two previous editions were held at the Trinitarias Suites Hotel.
I only attended on Friday 21. I arrived exactly at one o'clock in the afternoon, the time scheduled for the start of the previous activities. A Creole music group, the blessings and words of a priest and the ribbon was cut to make the first tour with representatives of the brands, business partners, special guests, media and political personalities of the city. Immediately afterwards, access was given to the general public, who had to register beforehand by scanning a QR code, also available on the organizers' website and social networks.
Durante tres días se llevó a cabo la tercera edición de la Expo Ferretería y Construcción en la ciudad de Barquisimeto, donde comerciantes, estudiantes, inversionistas y público en general se dieron cita para conocer las últimas tendencias del sector ferretero y de la construcción.
El evento se llevó a cabo desde el viernes 21 hasta el domingo 23 de febrero. Esta vez el lugar elegido para la Expo fueron las instalaciones del Lidotel. Las dos ediciones anteriores se celebraron en el Hotel Trinitarias Suites.
Sólo asistí el viernes 21. Llegué exactamente a la una de la tarde, hora prevista para iniciar las actividades previas. Un grupo de música criolla, las bendiciones y palabras de un sacerdote y se cortó la cinta para hacer el primer recorrido con representantes de las marcas, socios comerciales, invitados especiales, medios de comunicación y personalidades políticas de la ciudad. Inmediatamente después se daría acceso al público en general, que previamente debía inscribirse escaneando un código QR, disponible también en la página web y redes sociales de los organizadores.

I noticed that in this edition there were fewer participating brands. For economic reasons, some companies that were present in previous years were not present. I think it may also have been influenced by the fact that in April there will be another expo in the same sector, organized by a company from the capital of the country, in which several important brands will participate. I hope that for the fourth edition several of these major companies will return to this Expo, which is already a reference in the hardware and construction sector in the region.
Machinery, paints, tools, lighting, services, there was everything for those who are passionate about the world of construction. Many people interested in doing business with the brands present were expected to visit the fair. The people at each stand did not stop talking to the public, showing the products and services they offer.
Me di cuenta de que en esta edición había menos marcas participantes. Por razones económicas, algunas empresas que estuvieron en años anteriores no estuvieron presentes. Creo que también pudo influir el hecho de que en abril se realizará otra expo del mismo sector, organizada por una empresa de la capital del país, en la que participarán varias marcas importantes. Espero que para la cuarta edición varias de estas grandes empresas vuelvan a esta Expo, que ya es una referencia en el sector ferretero y de la construcción en la región.
Maquinaria, pinturas, herramientas, iluminación, servicios, había de todo para los apasionados del mundo de la construcción. Se esperaba la visita de muchas personas interesadas en hacer negocios con las marcas presentes. Las personas de cada stand no dejaron de conversar con el público que asistió, dando a conocer los productos y servicios que ofrecen.

The booths were very Indian, with striking decorations, a job that took several days. Everything was very organized, the tour was smooth. In one of the areas there was a small stage where musical groups performed.
Companies from other branches of commerce also participated. Cable television companies, advertising printers, web pages, etc. Some of them commercial allies of the expo organizers.
For those who wanted to eat or drink something, there was the Polar company where beer could be purchased, and the Lidotel offered its food and beverage service for those interested. However, being in the Sambil Mall, the public could go to the areas of the mall where there was a wide variety of businesses to eat.
Las stand muy indos, con decoraciones llamativas, un trabajo que llevó varios días. Todo estaba muy organizado, el recorrido fue fluido. En una de las zonas había un pequeño escenario donde actuaban grupos musicales.
También participaron empresas de otras ramas del comercio. Empresas de televisión por cable, imprentas de publicidad, páginas web, etc. Algunas de ellas aliadas comerciales de los organizadores de la expo.
Para los que querían comer o beber algo, estaba la empresa Polar donde se podía comprar cerveza, además el Lidotel ofrecía su servicio de alimentos y bebidas para los interesados. Sin embargo, al estar en el Centro Comercial Sambil, el público podía ir a las áreas del centro comercial donde había una gran variedad de negocios para comer.

Urbanism students from the Universidad Centro Occidental Lisandro Alvarado attended the event to talk with all the participating brands. UCLA had an assigned space and the students carried out various university works. The event served as a connector between the future urban planners and the construction companies.
I was able to talk to some of the companies and ask them about their services. I also spent some time talking with friends who also attended to cover the event.
Estudiantes de Urbanismo de la Universidad Centro Occidental Lisandro Alvarado asistieron al evento para conversar con todas las marcas participantes. La UCLA tuvo un espacio asignado y los estudiantes realizaron diversos trabajos universitarios. El evento sirvió de conector entre los futuros urbanistas y las empresas constructoras.
Pude hablar con algunas de las empresas y preguntarles por sus servicios. También pasé algún tiempo hablando con amigos que también asistieron para cubrir el evento.

There was also a room for presentations. During the three days, different presentations were scheduled by specialists in the construction and hardware sector. I attended two of the presentations, although I could not stay long, because I had to take more pictures.
As always, I could not stay until very late, before seven in the evening I had to leave, but the first day of the event was excellent. Now we can only wait for next year, to enjoy the fourth edition of this Expo.
No podía faltar una sala para las presentaciones. Durante los tres días estaban programadas diferentes ponencias a cargo de especialistas del sector de la construcción y la ferretería. Asistí a dos de las ponencias, aunque no pude quedarme mucho tiempo en ellas, porque tenía que hacer más fotos.
Como siempre, no pude quedarme hasta muy tarde, antes de las siete de la noche tuve que marcharme, pero el primer día del evento fue excelente. Ahora sólo queda esperar al año que viene, para disfrutar de la cuarta edición de esta Expo.
