Day trip with friends and strangers [Esp-Eng]

Hace poco les compartí en mi blog con una publicación sobre la piedra de los tortuga y lo genial que fue la experiencia de conocerla. Pero no les hable del proceso como tal de poder visitar ese lugar y cuantas personas fueron con nosotros o de si nos conocíamos entre nosotros. Así que quiero contarles de como estuvo el plan y si realmente pudimos disfrutarlo.

Algo que me gusta muchísimo de Puerto Ayacucho es que los precios de las excursiones que se hacen hacia los ríos Monumentos Nacionales o incluso a comunidades indígenas son bastante bajos, así que usando de referencia Maracay en donde un viaje a la playa más cercana sale en mínimo 10$, en Amazonas un día de rio y hasta haciendo algunas paradas en otros sitios sale en $ 15.000 qué equivalen a 4.5$ y si por ser un lugar cercano a algunos pueblos de Colombia lo que se maneja son pesos colombianos.

I recently shared with you on my blog a post about the turtle stone and how great the experience was to get to know it. But I didn't tell you about the process as such of being able to visit that place and how many people went with us or if we knew each other. So I want to tell you about how the plan went and if we really enjoyed it.

Something that I really like about Puerto Ayacucho is that the prices of the excursions to the National Monument rivers or even to indigenous communities are quite low, so using as a reference Maracay where a trip to the nearest beach costs at least 10$, in Amazonas a day on the river and even making some stops in other places costs $ 15.000 which is equivalent to 4.5$ and if for being a place close to some Colombian towns what is handled are Colombian COP.

Esto facilita muchísimo el poder hacer planes para pasar un día diferente, porque sabemos que sea cual sea el autobús que se alquile tendrá el mismo costo, porque es un mismo precio el que manejan, aunque hace poco aprendí que el precio varía dependiendo de donde seas, si eres extranjero el precio es mucho mayor y eso aplica en todo Amazonas, pero ese es otro tema del que prefiero no hablar y del que honestamente todo el mundo sabe.

Cuando es temporada vacacional muchas personas visitan Amazonas para hacer diferente tipo de actividades, en casa de mis suegros por muchos años llegaron personas de diferentes lugares de Venezuela, así que tienen muchísimos conocidos y amigos que conocieron así, esto hace que cada vez que regresan a Ayacucho pasan visitandolos y recordando los viejos tiempos. Este año para la temporada de vacaciones en Abril varios de ellos viajaron a Amazonas y luego de realizar cada uno sus actividades, fue que se planeó lo de la excursión.

This makes it much easier to make plans to spend a different day, because we know that whatever bus you rent will have the same cost, because it is the same price that they handle, although I recently learned that the price varies depending on where you are, if you are a foreigner the price is much higher and that applies throughout Amazonas, but that is another topic that I prefer not to talk about and that honestly everyone knows.

When it is holiday season many people visit Amazonas to do different kind of activities, in my in-laws house for many years people came from different places of Venezuela, so they have a lot of acquaintances and friends that they met this way, this makes that every time they return to Ayacucho they spend visiting them and remembering the old times. This year for the vacation season in April several of them traveled to Amazonas and after doing their activities, the excursion was planned.

Eran muchísimas personas y aunque no todos se conocían entre sí puedo asegurarles que eso no fue un problema, cuando hay personas con intereses en común con principios y valores siempre es un placer hacer arreglos o planes con ellos, y pues no hubo ningún inconveniente. Como yo viví durante varios años en Ayacucho también conocida varias de las personas que estaban de visita, pero la mayoría no. Aún así sabía que se trataba de buenas personas así que mi esposo y yo nos agregamos a la lista sin pensarlo demasiado.

El plan era visitar la piedra de la tortuga el museo que en la piedra se encuentra pero también practicar senderismo en ella, es decir subir la piedra y visitar un cementerio indígena qué hay en ella. Pero el plan cambió ya que sí practicamos senderismos en no iba a ser demasiado tarde para poder llegar al río que teníamos planeado visitar, cuando llegamos a la piedra me sorprendió ver que no era solo un autobús sino dos, así que eramos aproximadamente ochenta personas en total.

There were many people and although not all of them knew each other I can assure you that this was not a problem, when there are people with common interests with principles and values it is always a pleasure to make arrangements or plans with them, and there was no problem. As I lived for several years in Ayacucho I also knew several of the people who were visiting, but most of them did not. Still I knew they were good people so my husband and I added ourselves to the list without thinking too much about it.

The plan was to visit the stone of the turtle and the museum that is located in the stone but also to hike on it, that is to say to climb the stone and visit an indigenous cemetery that is in it. But the plan changed since we did practice hiking in it was not going to be too late to be able to get to the river that we had planned to visit, when we arrived at the stone I was surprised to see that it was not only one bus but two, so we were approximately eighty people in total.

Por lo general no soy mucho de viajes o planes con tantas personas pero en este caso la pasé súper bien, como dije eran personas con buenos valores y principios, muy respetuosas y además súper cheveres, así que pasamos el día con ellos, jugando cartas, vóleibol el el río y hasta haciendo competencias de nado.

Esta excursión fue distinta porque casi siempre cuando uno paga un viaje con desconocido cada quien está por su lado o en caso de conocer a unos pocos, pues se hacen grupos y uno se queda con quien conoce, pero en este caso todos andábamos justos, haciendo bromas, riendo y disfrutando como si nos conociéramos de toda la vida.

Usually I am not much for trips or plans with so many people but in this case I had a great time, as I said they were people with good values and principles, very respectful and also super cool, so we spent the day with them, playing cards, volleyball in the river and even doing swimming competitions.

This excursion was different because almost always when you pay for a trip with strangers everyone is on their own or in case you know a few, you make groups and you stay with who you know, but in this case we were all together, making jokes, laughing and enjoying ourselves as if we had known each other all our lives.
