Hi all!!! Today I wanna share with you a very funny situation I experienced while playing VRChat.
For those of you who don't know, VRChat is a social game like Second Life and Habbo in their days, but with the main catch being that you can play it with a VR headset, having a more deeper immersion.
At the start you spawn at a lobby where you can teleport yourself to other worlds made by the community and have lots of experiences.
Well... I definetely had an experience😄
The reason I started playing VRChat was to practice my English and social skills, but I was always scared and never did the first step.
Today I logged in and stayed in rooms full of people talking and didn't know what to say and how to get in conversations. Then I did the usual thing of going to the worlds tab to check for another world, and one of theme catched my eye. VR Omegle
It is a world where you get thrown into a room with a computer an connect with other people from inside VR. So you're doing one-to-one conversations in a chattroulette style inside a virtual world with your own avatar. Surreal. This was the room by the way:
Not gonna lie, I was nervous as fuck, but I gathered the courage and hit the search button, only to find the most surreal and fun conversation of my life.
It was a girl. I told her that it was my first time in the game talking to another person, and that my purpose there was to practice my English, and she asked me what my native language was, and I told her to try and guess.
This is where the fun part begins. She told me... RUSSIAN.
RUSSIAN??? I'M FROM SPAIN!!
But it doesn't end here. After saying Russia and Germany she asked my try and guess her native language (Rnglish wasn't her first language either) and had no idea.
She was from Mexico.
We were both Spanish speakers.
We both laughed our asses off, had a lovely 10 min conversation and leaved cause I had to go dinner with my friends and added each other as friends. It was a very nice way to break the ice and get started with talking to people. So I joined cause I wanted to practice my English and ended up meeting another person who also was there to practice their English, we both had Spanish as mother tongue and we ended up speaking in that language for the remaining conversation. Peak
And that's it, this is the end the post.
If someone here plays VR, maybe we could meet and chat a little. I open😉
See you nice people🥰🥰
