That's why today I want to share with you the unboxing of my new helmet: the Edge Jaguar Thunder Z, a real gem that combines protection, style and comfort.
Why did I choose this model? I was looking for a semi-integral helmet that would give me confidence when riding, but also had that look that made me feel identified. The EDGE brand gave me just that: recognition, support and design.
One of the biggest attractions is that this model is DOT certified, issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation. This means that its level of protection has been tested against impacts of up to 250G, covering more than 90% of the skull. Not bad, right?
It has a style that stands out, because yes, safety is a priority, but who said you can't look good on two wheels? This helmet has a sober color scheme of black and gray, enhanced with a vibrant fuchsia detail that I simply love. That touch of color makes it stand out on the road, and I won't deny it.
Although it looks rugged when I saw it, I was surprised at how light it feels once it's on. Its interior is fully padded, which gives it that extra bit of comfort. And yes, the liners are removable, so keeping it clean won't be a problem. Plus, its aerodynamic design helps reduce wind noise, something those of us who drive every day know can make a big difference in the experience.
One of the points I liked the most is that it has a double visor, and one of them is dark to protect me from UV rays, which is a huge relief when the sun hits hard on the road.
