¡Holis comunidad! ¿Cómo se encuentras? quiero compartir un momento random de mi vida, hoy salí de compras con mi mamá en la mañana tipo 8am al súper mercado más tranquilo y cercano. Todo iba marchando de maravilla, hasta que llegamos al pasillo de chuches, les juro que no sabía si morir o desmayarme, estaban puliendo el pasillo y olía horrible era un olor muy feo, como si el agua sucia de la charcutería y un toque de gasoil, la estuviesen usando para pulir el piso. Fue un momento patético y todos los pasillos tenían ese olor, con excepción del área de panadería, verduras y frutas, como es amplio aún no habían pulido allí.
I want to share a random moment of my life, today I went out shopping with my mum in the morning at 8am to the nearest super market, it was very quiet. Everything was going great, until we got to the candy aisle, I swear I didn't know whether to die or faint, they were polishing the aisle and it smelled horrible, it was a very bad smell, as if the dirty water from the deli and a touch of diesel, they were using it to polish the floor. It was a pathetic moment and all the aisles had that smell, with the exception of the bakery, vegetable and fruit area, as it is wide they hadn't polished there yet.
Seleccionamos de una forma muy veloz que era lo que íbamos a llevar, donde tardamos un poco fue esperando que nos envolvieran la carne. Sin embargo allí el olor era tolerable, al llegar a caja recordé que no habíamos desayunado y que además olvidado la bolsa de pan francés que acostumbramos a comprar, así que toco devolverse nuevamente. Por esta razón siempre hago una lista, porque suelo olvidar todo, pero olvide hacer la lista ¿Qué irónico no?
We selected very quickly what we were going to take, where it took us a while was waiting for the meat to be wrapped. However there the smell was tolerable, when we got to the checkout I remembered that we had not had breakfast and that we had forgotten the bag of French bread that we used to buy, so we had to go back again. For this reason I always make a list, because I tend to forget everything, but I forgot to make the list, how ironic isn't it?
Mi mamá no me espero, prefirió pagar las compras mientras yo me decidía por un pan y bueno tuvo razón, suelo tardar demasiado eligiendo y más en Rio, en la parte de panadería su refrán es “NADA ES LO QUE PARECE” en cuanto a los precios, todo el por peso lo que veo tonto, porque toca esperar que lo pesen y si se pasa de su presupuesto, tienes que seguir buscando hasta encontrar uno con un precio y tamaño decente.
My mum didn't wait for me, she preferred to pay for the shopping while I was deciding on a loaf of bread and well she was right, I tend to take too long choosing and more so in Rio, in the bakery part her saying is ‘NOTHING IS WHAT IT SEEMS’ as for the prices, everything is by weight which I find silly, because you have to wait for them to weigh it and if it goes over your budget, you have to keep looking until you find one with a decent price and size.
Después que tarde como 10 minutos con la “Panadera con el pan”, esta peso los cuatro panes que ven en la imagen siguiente y todos estaban en 5$, 6$ y 7$, decidí ser feliz y comprar el de 1,75$ y un pan de queso para mi mamá en 1,55$, por la otra parte de la vitrina había unos pedazos de torta tres leches. Pero pensé, si ese fue el proceso para comprar dos panes, no me quiero imaginar cuanto iba a tardar con la torta, así que preferí abstenerme. Siendo sincera odio que todo allí sea por peso, no entiendo porque no establece un costo y ya uno tiene la facilidad de elegir, aquí es cuando extraño más de lo normal al supermercado sigo, si tiene un costo establecido en toda su área de panadería y ya puedes elegir, pagar y te vas, sin tanto protocolo.
Esta es la cara de una persona feliz que logro en parte salirse con la suya:
After I spent about 10 minutes with the ‘baker with the bread’, she weighed the four loaves you see in the picture below and they were all at $5, $6 and $7, I decided to be happy and buy the $1.75 loaf and a cheese loaf for my mum at $1.55, on the other side of the counter there were some pieces of tres leches cake. But I thought, if that was the process to buy two loaves of bread, I don't want to imagine how long it was going to take with the cake, so I preferred to abstain. To be honest I hate that everything there is by weight, I don't understand why they don't establish a cost and you have the facility to choose, this is when I miss the supermarket more than usual, if they have an established cost in all their bakery area and you can choose, pay and leave, without so much protocol.
This is the face of a happy person who managed to partly get away with it:
Como imaginaran toco comer en el auto y en el proceso de degustación, comprendí que no perdí mi tiempo a pesar de que comprar algo en la panadería significa perder aproximadamente 15 minutos. El sabor y relleno del cachito con todo Rio, es perfecto para desayunar, al principio pensé solo lo compraría tipo merienda y en casa prepararía el desayuno, pero no fue necesario. El único detalle que encuentro es el que ya les comente del tiempo de espera, que hace que se te quite el hambre.
As you can imagine, I had to eat in the car and in the tasting process, I realised that I didn't waste my time even though buying something in the bakery means wasting about 15 minutes. The flavour and filling of the little cube with all Rio, is perfect for breakfast, at first I thought I would just buy it as a snack and at home I would prepare breakfast, but it was not necessary. The only problem I find is the waiting time, which makes you lose your appetite.
PDT: Ni se les ocurra, hacer compras en un supermercado en la mañana, todo es tranquilo, sí, no hay fila, no hay ruido, puedes escuchar la música de fondo. Pero no deben olvidar un pequeño detalle y es el de ¡La pulidora amigos! Que no permite disfrutar lo divertido que es hacer las compras, comparar precios, reputación de las marcadas y demás.

PST: Don't even think about shopping in a supermarket in the morning, everything is quiet, yes, no queue, no noise, you can listen to the music in the background. But don't forget one small detail and that's the polishing machine, my friends! That doesn't allow you to enjoy the fun of shopping, comparing prices, reputation of the brands and so on.
