¡Holis! ¿Cómo se encuentran comunidad? ¿Cómo va su semana? La mía, súper, súper aburrida, súper ajetreada, súper abrumadora. Sin embargo, debía sacar un espacio para poder compartir con ustedes algo, así que aquí les voy. El tema de hoy se llama “paseo en peñero”, pero entre líneas se lee: ¿cómo aguantar las ganas de vomitar para disfrutar del paisaje?
How's the community, how's your week going? Mine, super, super boring, super busy, super overwhelming. However, I had to make some space to share something with you, so here I go. Today's topic is called ‘paseo en peñero’, but between the lines you can read: how do you hold back the urge to vomit to enjoy the scenery?
Amigos, ¡una locura! Tenía años sin montarme en uno de estos. La última vez que lo hice fue cuando me la tiraba de valiente y mi mamá y yo íbamos a visitar a mi abuela en Sucre en uno de estos porque eran más rápidos. Pero era horrible la travesía, al menos para mí. Al inicio, cuando subí al peñero, el olor a gasoil me estaba volviendo loca; me sentía mareada. Sin embargo, me senté unos asientos adelante y ya el olor fue desapareciendo; desde ese punto pude disfrutar del paisaje.
Folks, it's crazy! I hadn't ridden one of these for years. The last time I did it was when I was being brave and my mum and I would go to visit my grandmother in Sucre on one of these because they were faster. But it was a horrible journey, at least for me. At first, when I got into the peñero, the smell of diesel was driving me crazy; I felt dizzy. However, I sat a few seats forward and the smell went away; from that point I could enjoy the scenery.
La vista estaba espectacular. Como iba tan pesado el peñero, no podía ir rápido, así que íbamos lento pero contentos. El mar se veía perfecto; hasta provocaba lanzarse allí. Sus colores hipnotizaban; mientras avanzábamos podíamos apreciar las cuevas submarinas que poseían las montañas que allí se encuentran.
The view was spectacular. As the rocky boat was so heavy, I couldn't go fast, so we went slowly but happily. The sea looked perfect; it was even inviting to jump in. Its colours were hypnotising; as we went on we could see the underwater caves in the mountains.
El paseo fue corto; al llegar a Manzanillo y ver cómo se encontraban los peñeros en la orilla de la playa fue realmente fascinante. Toda esa gama de colores, los alcatraces intentando sacar los peces de las redes y las personas esperando la llegada de los pescadores fue un momento, que quedará marcado en mis recuerdos. Espero poder repetirlo nuevamente; si no es así, por lo menos tendré este recuerdo en mi mente y en mi galería, jajaja.
The ride was short; arriving in Manzanillo and seeing the fishermen on the shore of the beach was really fascinating. All those colours, the gannets trying to get the fish out of the nets and the people waiting for the arrival of the fishermen was a moment, which will remain in my memories. I hope to be able to repeat it again; if not, at least I will have this memory in my mind and in my gallery, hahaha.
Algo que siempre me ha gustado de Manzanillo es su playa muy tempano de hielo, sus peñeros anclados en la orilla, las estrellitas de mar que allí habitan y el color de su mar, por obvias razones mi isla siempre tiene las playas más hermosas.
Something I have always liked about Manzanillo is its very icy beach, its rocky shores, the little starfish that live there and the colour of the sea, for obvious reasons my island always has the most beautiful beaches.
El sol estaba en su momento más caluroso; a pesar de que todo esto fue en la tarde tipo 4:00 p.m., al tomar la foto de despedida a la playa, este oscureció un poco la imagen. Debo aceptar que quedó mucho mejor así; le dio un toque muy especial al paisaje como si ya se estuviese ocultando el sol cuando en realidad no fue así.
The sun was at its hottest; although all this was in the afternoon at about 4:00 p.m., when I took the farewell photo to the beach, it darkened the image a little. I must accept that it looked much better this way; it gave a very special touch to the landscape as if the sun was already setting when in fact it was not.
Bueno amigos, esto es todo por hoy. Discúlpenme por esas desapariciones locas mías. Pero esto de la vida adulta como que no va conmigo; ¡socorro! Jajaja.
