Hello everyone! I hope you are all well, enjoying yourselves and making the most of this wonderful weekend. At home we were all together, which was the perfect opportunity to get a little organized and get the yard in order before leaving. We took advantage of the day to disconnect a bit and take care of those little pending tasks.
In the midst of this hustle and bustle, our son was planning to meet some friends after lunch. On the other hand, my husband and I decided to take advantage of the afternoon to do something useful that had been on my mind for a few days; take a look at several stores in search of some comfortable flip-flops for my father. The poor guy had a scare recently, as the flip-flops he was wearing made him slip and he ended up spraining his foot. These types of accidents are the ones you want to avoid at all costs, especially for your safety and well-being.
We started our tour by visiting several stores in the city center, but to our surprise, we found nothing that fit what we needed. After walking for quite a while without success, we decided to change course and head for the Sambil shopping mall, which has a wide variety of options. I remembered that a few days ago I had passed through its aisles and noticed several stores with interesting models of flip-flops, so I encouraged myself to look there.
¡Hola a todos! Espero que estén bien, disfrutando y sacándole el máximo provecho a este maravilloso fin de semana. En casa estábamos todos juntos, lo cual fue la oportunidad perfecta para organizarnos un poco y poner el patio en orden antes de salir. Aprovechamos el día para desconectar un poco y ocuparnos de esas pequeñas tareas pendientes.
En medio de este ajetreo, nuestro hijo tenía planeado reunirse con unos amigos después de almorzar. Por otro lado, mi esposo y yo decidimos aprovechar la tarde para hacer algo útil que tenía en mente hace algunos días; darle un vistazo a varias tiendas en busca de unas chancletas cómodas para mi padre. El pobre tuvo un susto recientemente, ya que las chancletas que usaba le hicieron resbalar y terminó torciéndose un pie. Este tipo de accidentes son los que uno quiere evitar a toda costa, sobre todo por su seguridad y bienestar.
Comenzamos nuestro recorrido visitando varias tiendas en el centro de la ciudad, pero para nuestra sorpresa, no encontramos nada que se ajustara a lo que necesitábamos. Después de caminar un buen rato sin éxito, decidimos cambiar de rumbo y dirigirnos al centro comercial Sambil, que tiene una amplia variedad de opciones. Recordé que hace unos días había pasado por sus pasillos y noté varias tiendas con modelos interesantes de chanclas, así que me animé a buscar allí.
Finally, after giving a few turns, I decided on a pair of “zapos”, as they usually call this type of flip-flops. I chose a brown pair that, I'm sure, my father will love. In addition, they have a key feature that I consider essential, they are slip-resistant, which gives me peace of mind knowing that he will be able to wear them safely.
Finalmente, tras dar algunas vueltas, me decidí por unos "zapos", como suelen llamar a este tipo de chancletas. Escogí un par color marrón que, estoy segura, le encantarán a mi padre. Además, tienen una característica clave que considero esencial, son antirresbalantes, lo que me brinda tranquilidad al saber que él podrá usarlas con seguridad.
With that task taken care of, my husband and I decided to relax and take the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the walk. To our pleasant surprise, we came across an exhibition of the painter Ninoska del Valle in one of the mall's corridors. The exhibit turned out to be a real gem, as she occupied both sides of the corridor with her fascinating art.
On one side, Ninoska had displayed several paintings dedicated to the Virgin. Each had a unique charm that made it difficult to choose a favorite.
There were works decorated with white pearls that seemed to radiate purity and delicacy.
Con esa tarea ya resuelta, mi esposo y yo decidimos relajarnos y tomarnos el resto de la tarde para disfrutar del paseo. Para nuestra grata sorpresa, nos encontramos con una exposición de la pintora Ninoska del Valle en uno de los pasillos del centro comercial. La muestra resultó ser una verdadera joya, ya que ocupaba ambos lados del corredor con su arte fascinante.
De un lado, Ninoska había expuesto varias pinturas dedicadas a la Virgen. Cada una tenía un encanto único que hacía difícil elegir una favorita.
Había obras decoradas con perlas blancas que parecían irradiar pureza y delicadeza.
While others used oil paint with golden tones that conveyed majesty. The variety of styles was truly impressive, and each painting seemed to tell its own story.

Among the works, there were also paintings of boats with vibrant, marine colors, as well as others portraying snails, starfish and nets in stunning detail.

However, there was one work that particularly captivated me, a picture of a fish painted by Miranda. I liked it not only for the size of the fish, but for the precision and dedication of every detail it had in itself.

On the other side of the aisle, Ninoska had very touching paintings on display. One that deeply caught my attention was the one of her little dog Luna. From what I could interpret, Luna was no longer alive, and this painting seemed to be a loving tribute to her memory. This detail reflected the painter's sensitivity.
En el otro lado del pasillo, Ninoska había expuesto cuadros muy emotivos. Uno que llamó profundamente mi atención fue el de su perrita Luna. Por lo que pude interpretar, Luna ya no estaba viva, y este cuadro parecía ser un homenaje lleno de cariño hacia su memoria. Este detalle reflejaba la sensibilidad de la pintora.
His feelings were one of the aspects that were also noticeable in several works dedicated to hearts full of symbolism and emotion. There was even a mirror decorated in an artistic way that I found beautiful.
Sus sentimientos fueron unos de los aspecto que también se notaba en varias obras dedicadas a corazones llenos de simbolismo y emotividad. Incluso había un espejo decorado de manera artística que me pareció precioso.
After calmly enjoying every detail of Ninoska del Valle's exhibition, we returned home to get some rest. We want to get up early the next day to visit my father and bring him the gift that he will undoubtedly love.
