¡Hola, amigos! ¡Feliz inicio de semana para todos!
Hoy quiero resumir lo que fue mi mes de julio y, al mismo tiempo, reflexionar sobre los aciertos y desaciertos que tuve. Primero que nada, me he sentado a pensar en todo lo que he logrado y cómo, poco a poco, he ido cerrando ciclos que antes parecían solo un sueño, algo que veía muy lejano y que, actualmente, estoy haciendo realidad.
Un Gran Cierre y Nuevos Comienzos Este mes de julio pude cerrar un ciclo importantísimo: la etapa de escolaridad de mi maestría. Participé en eventos de la universidad y me enfoqué de lleno en culminar esta fase. Hace unos años, esto era solo una idea, un sueño que se instaló en mi mente sin previo aviso y, una vez allí, decidí afrontar esta nueva meta. Fue así que, después de muchas dudas, tomé la decisión de no abandonar.
Hello friends, happy start of the week to all of you! Today I want to summarize what my month of July was like and, at the same time, reflect on the hits and misses I had. First of all, I have sat down to think about all that I have achieved and how, little by little, I have been closing cycles that before seemed like just a dream, something that I saw very far away and that, currently, I am making a reality. A Great Closure and New Beginnings This July I was able to close a very important cycle: the schooling stage of my master's degree. I participated in university events and focused fully on completing this phase. A few years ago, this was just an idea, a dream that settled in my mind without warning and, once there, I decided to face this new goal. So it was that, after many doubts, I made the decision not to give up.
Al contrario, me enfoqué y me esforcé más que el resto para llegar hasta el final. Y ese final, este mes, lo vi materializado. Ahora he llegado a ese punto en el que solo debo concentrarme en mi trabajo final de grado para recibir mi medalla y mi título como Magíster en Lingüística. Es una sensación increíble poder ver cómo un objetivo tan grande se va concretando.
Un Cambio de Aire en el Gimnasio También durante este mes, me atreví a hacer un cambio significativo y a salir de la zona de confort en la que me encontraba con mis entrenamientos. Por eso, tomé la decisión de cambiarme de gimnasio. Y aunque me queda más lejos de casa que el anterior, el cambio ha sido un 10 de 10. Esto me ha permitido fijarme nuevos retos y sentirme más motivada.
En cuanto a la evolución de mi peso, la verdad es que este mes no hubo cambios en la balanza, pero sí en mi fuerza y disciplina. Debo admitir que nunca he sido muy constante con esto del entrenamiento, pero en este nuevo gimnasio sí me he enfocado en entrenar los cinco días a la semana, incluso si no logro cumplir las horas completas por falta de tiempo.
On the contrary, I focused and worked harder than the rest to reach the end. And that end, this month, I saw it materialized. Now I have reached the point where I only have to concentrate on my final thesis to receive my medal and my Master's degree in Linguistics. It is an incredible feeling to be able to see how such a big goal is becoming a reality.
A Change of Air in the Gym Also during this month, I dared to make a significant change and get out of the comfort zone in which I found myself with my training. That's why I made the decision to change gyms. And although it is further from home than the previous one, the change has been a 10 out of 10. This has allowed me to set myself new challenges and feel more motivated.
As for the evolution of my weight, the truth is that this month there was no change in the scale, but there was a change in my strength and discipline. I must admit that I have never been very consistent with this training, but in this new gym I have focused on training five days a week, even if I do not manage to complete the full hours due to lack of time.
Este mes, realmente, solo falté cuando me llegó el período y no me sentía bien. Decidí descansar esos días y retomar la semana siguiente. He aprendido mucho más sobre las rutinas de tren superior. La verdad es que, cuando entrenaba en el gimnasio anterior, el entrenador se enfocaba muy poco en rutinas de brazos y espalda. Por eso, cuando comencé con el nuevo entrenador, no podía ejecutar los ejercicios completos de la parte superior porque los brazos me temblaban.
Era sorprendente cómo no tenía ni fuerza ni resistencia al momento de usar pesas muy pequeñas con los brazos. Sin embargo, he aprendido muchísimo sobre mis rutinas de ejercicio en esta parte del cuerpo y sigo aprendiendo y mejorando. Y aunque aún no estoy en el nivel que quiero y siento que me ha costado muchísimo llegar a mi meta, sé que estoy muy lejos de cuando empecé, ¡y eso me llena de orgullo propio!
Reflexiones y Metas Futuras Sé en lo que fallé este mes, y fue en la alimentación. Lo reconozco porque me relajé y seguí comiendo mal, como al inicio de todo este proceso. No sé por qué lo hice, sin medir las consecuencias o el retraso que eso significaría en mi avance. Sin embargo, continúo entrenando y esforzándome por lograr mis objetivos. Tengo muchas metas para este mes que apenas inicia, y enfocarme en mi familia es una de ellas. Por eso, en estas vacaciones escolares, estamos aprovechando para realizar varias actividades pendientes y disfrutar juntos.
This month, really, I only missed when my period came and I wasn't feeling well. I decided to rest those days and resume the following week. I learned a lot more about upper body routines. The truth is, when I was training at the previous gym, the trainer focused very little on arm and back routines. So when I started with the new trainer, I couldn't perform the full upper body exercises because my arms were shaking.
It was amazing how I had no strength or endurance when using very small weights with my arms. However, I have learned a tremendous amount about my exercise routines in this body part and I continue to learn and improve. And although I'm still not at the level I want to be and I feel like it has taken me a long time to reach my goal, I know I'm a long way from when I started, and that fills me with a lot of self-pride!
Reflections and Future Goals I know what I failed at this month, and it was eating. I recognize it because I relaxed and continued to eat poorly, as I did at the beginning of this whole process. I don't know why I did it, without measuring the consequences or the delay that it would mean in my progress. However, I continue to train and strive to achieve my goals. I have many goals for this month that is just beginning, and focusing on my family is one of them. That is why, in this school vacation, we are taking advantage of the time to do several pending activities and enjoy together.
