The good thing about having eight cats at home is that you probably never get bored watching them. Sitting in the garden, you can see them one by one, climbing trees, and others trying to knock their siblings off the tops of the trees. I don't always record them or take pictures, but if I have the chance, I don't miss it. The truth is that I enjoy them all at this stage.
Mom, take a picture of me, so I don't notice!
María Silvestre, as I have called her since she was little, because of her resemblance to the famous Silvestre, from Sylvester and Tweety, lives up to her name, as she looks like a wild cat when it comes to climbing trees, and it is she who causes all her siblings to fall out of the tree when she is in it, as if she wants to take over the territory.
She and the way she looks at you as if she were judging you
Pantera, on the other hand, was the pioneer of these games. From a young age, when it was just her, Pandita, and Esperanza, she would climb the achiote tree or the lemon tree to get onto the roof of the trucks. On a couple of occasions, I had to get them down from the roof when we were already on the street. She is now an adult among many little ones, who loves to hide high up in the trees to avoid being bothered. Sometimes it is not easy to see her among the foliage.
On rainy days, we usually leave the door open so the cats can take shelter in the house. They all immediately run to Mathias' playroom to play with their toys. I haven't been able to capture those moments, because when I approach the room, they run away as if they were doing something wrong. As I said at the beginning of this post, it's definitely difficult to get bored with them. What I will leave you with is a bonus: the beautiful morning rain on some of the flowers in the garden.
