He was sleeping and maybe dreaming with some birds, mice or lizards. Chasing them or just happily playing with those little animals, living in peace and harmony. He would not eat a mouse, no. His speciality is just to bring them home and let them run away!
Then my parents have to chase the mouse and catch it as the cat just brings it as a gift. That is how it happened last summer when Kiki (my parent's ginger cat) thought it would be fun to have a new pet - a little mouse - in the kitchen. That mouse lived almost for a week inside the kitchen furniture.
I bet nobody would like this scenario... A cat bringing home small rodents and leaving them alive?? However, he is forgiven for everything as he is a special one. And very spoiled. Sometimes I think he gets more attention than we (my sister and I) got when we were small.
When he sleeps you think it is just an innocent ginger kitty... When he opens his eyes you can read from them - beware of the cat :D
I tried to pet him while he was sleeping but he let me know it would not happen. This gaze can kill 😂
I let him close his eyes again and fall asleep. It is a strange pose for resting though... maybe he was just half asleep this time. When he was small he injured badly his leg. It was broken and the kitty went through two surgeries. Even now, after seven years he doesn't let anyone touch that leg, probably that is why he doesn't trust me to pet him while he sleeps.
Anyway, as he seemed calm I tried again. This is a good spot - I think he was fine with this.
I got access to the neck too! And when I thought he already trusts me enough so I can cuddle his head and ears too he showed his teeth and dissatisfaction with my decision.
He got annoyed and left this chair. He even complained to my mom so he got some fresh liver to forget the trauma I caused him. Petting him while he tried to sleep.
After some time he went to the stairs to digest in peace his dinner. He was watching the sunset while enjoying the mild temperatures of this late afternoon. Seems that he was also more used to my idea to give him the cuddles.
After all, it is Saturday Caturday, a good day to come to Hive!
