🇪🇸 ~ Hoy decidí enviar a esterilizar a Enki y Tokio (le cambié el nombre a Topacio porque se ha vuelto un gatito robusto y sobrio, le queda mucho mejor "Enki").
Esta vez contrate el servicio de un "taxi mascota", tenía curiosidad sobre los precios y resulta que es mucho mas económico que ir yo personalmente en taxi particular hasta el centro veterinario.
Para ponernos en contexto: Un taxi económico en esta zona cuesta 5$, asi que al ir y venir del centro veterinario invierto un mínimo de 20$, en cambio, el taxi mascota cuesta la mitad.
Al principio me sentía mal por no llevarlos yo misma pero estoy muy cansada, me duelen las piernas, y también ahorrar algo de dinero me sienta bien porque el alimento para michis a subido de precio.
🇺🇸 ~ Today I decided to send Enki and Tokio (I changed the name to Topaz because he has become a robust and sober kitten, it suits him much better “Enki”).
This time I hired the service of a “pet cab”, I was curious about the prices and it turns out that it is much cheaper than going myself by private cab to the veterinary center.
To put it in context: An economy cab in this area costs $5, so to get to and from the vet center I spend a minimum of $20, whereas the pet cab costs half that.
At first I felt bad for not taking them myself but I am very tired, my legs hurt, and also saving some money is good for me because the food for michis has gone up in price.
✦ Thank you Hive! The rewards accumulated in my wallet in HBD were used for these surgeries and the transportation of the babies, a friend lent me the cash in the meantime and tomorrow I must withdraw the HBD to transfer it to her in Venezuelan Bolivars ✦

Respecto a la preparación para ir a sus cirugías, Tokio y Enki no estaban nada felices, al principio se comportaron muy lindos y dóciles pero pasados 10 min dentro de las cestas empezaron a ponerse nerviosos. Para cuando llegó el taxi mascota, estaban en modo terremotico tratando de escapar.
As for preparing for their surgeries, Tokio and Enki were not happy at all, at first they were very sweet and docile, but after 10 minutes in the baskets they started to get nervous. By the time the pet taxi arrived, they were in terremotic mode, trying to escape.
En el momento que escribo esto son las 12:25 del medio día, el taxi llegó a las 7:45 am y hasta ahora estoy muy contenta. El señor me trajo los medicamentos post-operatorios y las planillas de consentimiento de anestesia y cirugía, también gracias a la ayuda de una amiga pude pagar todos los servicios en USD en efectivo, lo que me hizo ahorrar más dinero (cada cirugía tiene un costo de 16$ en USD en efectivo o 20$ si es en Bolívares Venezolanos).
As I write this it is 12:25 pm, the taxi arrived at 7:45 am and so far I am very happy. The gentleman brought me the post-op medications and the consent forms for the anesthesia and surgery, also thanks to the help of a friend I was able to pay for all the services in USD in cash, which saved me more money (each surgery costs $16 in USD in cash or $20 if in Venezuelan Bolivars).
No estaba en mis planes esterilizarlos todavía pero estos últimos días se han portado muy mal, estan marcando territorio con mas intensidad, no obedecen ordenes simples como no subirse al meson de la cocina (cosa que antes no hacían), y Tokio me atacó sin motivos a inicios de semana (lo cargue como siempre cuando les doy los buenos días, y el salto a mi rostro enterrándome las garras en el cuero cabelludo, fue muy doloroso y sangre bastante pero en casa tengo un buen botiquín de primeros auxilios, no estoy molesta con el, pero esa reacción que tuvo me hizo sentir muy triste porque el es un gatito muy amado que vive en un hogar donde nadie lo molesta, no hay detonantes para ese comportamiento o no uno que yo pueda deducir... ¿quiza estaba celoso porque cargué primero a Apolo?).
It was not in my plans to sterilize them yet, but in the last few days they have been behaving very badly, they are marking their territory with more intensity, they do not obey simple commands like not getting on the kitchen counter (which they did not do before), and Tokio attacked me for no reason at the beginning of the week (I was carrying him as usual when I said good morning to them, and he jumped on my face and buried his claws in my scalp, it was very painful and I bled a lot but at home I have a good first aid kit, I am not angry with him but this reaction he had made me feel very sad because he is a very loved kitten who lives in a home where nobody bothers him, there are no triggers for this behavior or at least none that I can deduce. Maybe he was jealous because I carried Apollo first?).

Creo que a partir de ahora esta será la modalidad en que envíe gatitos a las jornadas de esterilización, no solo es mas cómodo sino que ahorro más de la mitad del dinero que tenía presupuestado originalmente para el tema del transporte... en este caso increíblemente, lo menos difícil no sale más caro 😄
Ahora, los mandarinos se estan recuperando de los efectos de la anestesia, las doctoras me dicen que todo salió super bien. Estoy feliz.
Estaré reportando su evolución y ojala pronto las hormonas se calmen porque mis pobres cortinas ya piden clemencia 💩 🤣 👌

I think that from now on this will be the modality in which I send kittens to the spay/neuter days, not only is it more comfortable but I save more than half of the money I had originally budgeted for the transportation issue... in this case incredibly, the less difficult doesn't come out more expensive 😄
Now, the michis are recovering from the effects of the anesthesia, the doctors tell me that everything went super well. I am happy.
I will be reporting their evolution and hopefully soon the hormones will calm down because my poor curtains are already begging for mercy 💩 🤣 👌
