Every time I put food on his plate I realized that he only smelled it a little bit and licked it and then left it careless. I thought it was because he ate in other houses or went out to hunt mice or lizards, but I also noticed something that left me worried, he slept more than usual and was getting thin, so I asked myself "If he is eating what he hunts, why is he losing weight?".
My first thought was that something had gone wrong in his stomach, so I gave him some Peptobismol (he had done it before and it had worked) and waited a day, but it didn't get better. On Thursday, while I was carrying him I realized that his nipples had a slight yellowish color, I was surprised and I went quickly to tell my grandmother because it isn't something normal in his skin tone, she thought it could be a little dirt and did not take it seriously, so I did not worry and continued with my day.
Yesterday when I woke up I saw that my cat was on the backyard table and my mom was examining him carefully, that's when she realized that he had yellow ear cartilage and gum. We started looking for information on the internet and the results said it could be jaundice "is a yellowish or greenish pigmentation of the skin and sclera due to high bilirubin levels.".
I'm not going to lie, I felt destroyed and wanted to cry, knowing that my cat was feeling so bad destroyed my heart. I called several friends, they recommended a vet and I immediately called him to schedule an appointment with him. The same day I went to his office to have my baby examined.
Sure enough, he diagnosed my cat with jaundice and recommended some medication. I was pleased with the doctor, in addition to treating me very well he also took very good care of Krispin (in addition to the fact that my cat behaved very well, thanks lord), He explained to me in detail how I should give him the medications, also some effects of the medications that were normal and told me that any thing, progress or detail that I notice in my cat let him know at any time. (I didn't took any picture while he was examining my cat because of respect).
Since yesterday Krispin started his treatment, I hope he gets better soon, and in the name of God he will🙏🏻. I'll be updating you on his recovery.

Hola amigos de Hive, ¿Cómo han estado? Espero que tú y tus gatos estén bien. Por mi parte tengo una triste noticia, mi gato Krispin se ha enfermado. Todo empezó hace unos días, cuando empecé a darme cuenta de que estaba perdiendo el apetito, siempre ha sido un gato que maúlla de emoción a la hora de comer y molesta a todos los que le rodean hasta el punto de poder conseguir comida, pero estos últimos 4 días han sido diferentes...
Cada vez que le ponía comida en el plato me daba cuenta de que solo la olía un poco y la lamía y luego la dejaba descuidada. Pensé que era porque comía en otras casas o salía a cazar ratones o lagartijas, pero también noté algo que me dejaba preocupada, dormía más de lo habitual y estaba adelgazando, así que me pregunté "Si está comiendo lo que caza, ¿por qué está perdiendo peso?".
Lo primero que pensé fue que algo le había caido mal en el estómago, así que le di un poco de Peptobismol (lo había hecho antes y había funcionado) y esperé un día, pero no mejoró. El jueves, mientras lo cargaba me di cuenta de que sus pezones tenían un ligero color amarillento, me sorprendí y fui rápidamente a contárselo a mi abuela porque no es algo normal en su tono de piel, ella pensó que podría ser un poco de suciedad y no se lo tomó en serio, así que no me preocupé y seguí con mi día.

No voy a mentir, me sentí destruida y quería llorar, saber que mi gato se sentía tan mal me destruyó el corazón. Llamé a varios amigos, me recomendaron un veterinario e inmediatamente lo llamé para programar una cita con él. El mismo día fui a su oficina para que examinaran a mi bebé.
Efectivamente, diagnosticó a mi gato con ictericia y me recomendó algunos medicamentos. Quedé complacida con el médico, además de tratarme muy bien también cuidó muy bien a Krispin (además de que mi gato se portó muy bien, gracias señor), me explicó detalladamente cómo debía darle los medicamentos, también algunos efectos de los medicamentos que eran normales y me dijo que cualquier cosa, progreso o detalle que note en mi gato se lo haga saber en cualquier momento. (No tomé ninguna foto mientras estaba examinando al gato por respeto a su trabajo).
Desde ayer Krispin comenzó su tratamiento, espero que se recupere pronto, y en el nombre de Dios lo hará🙏🏻. Les estaré informando sobre su recuperación.
