So its Spring day in South Africa. Officially at least. Not that Cape Town weather always agrees.
There was some sunshine today but there was also clouds, rain and all manner of gloominess. It got cold quite a few times.
I took a leave day because of a stomach bug that was going around. One of my kids had had it as well. So I texted in to my boss and she said it is OK. I can take a sick day.
Nothing important was happening at work at the moment, but in a week or so there would be another project to take care of in the harbour. That would require my constant care and attention.
I stayed in bed with my wife, at first I thought I would take the home day to do some writing and whatnot. But then when I took a nap it turned into a long sleep. I slept right up until my wife went to go fetch to kids from school and run some errands.
I thought I would get up THEN but then Lexi, our tabby cat came to sit on me, like right on my chest and I then decided that I did not need to go anywhere. She was snuggling because it was cold and because I needed to rest.
So I let my fatigue and my cat decide.
I will say that this week I posted a LOT less than I usually do, but I did not post nothing and I still did OK.
I needed to recharge my batteries so I can face a new week and get more productive.
