Nestled between three volcanos: Agua, Fuego and Acatenango off interstate 14 in Antigua Guatemala... is Catorce Brewery (which means fourteen)
We've decided to stop here and quench our midday thirst with this delicious ice-cold red goodness.
Here's another shot:
I give you Chela Guevara Red Ale a craft brew produced right here by Catorce Brewing Company.
Chela is Guatemalan slang for beer, so it's a bit of a play on words.
It has 5.2% ABV and It's very light and perfect for summer vibes such as today. Slightly more flavorful than a blonde ale, but with an IBU of 39, it's less bitter than most IPAs. Perfect for starting the afternoon in an outside, pet-friendly place such as Catorce Brewery.
Ordered some munchies too:
Saussage, ribs, coleslaw, sweet beans and black corn home-made tortillas.
There will be a music show too, but I'm going to enjoy that here IRL and won't be able to continue this post. I will share this picture of Pam and our dog Compadre right before the show.
Also, here's a photo of Agua Volcano I took. Got lucky because there were no clouds around it. That doesn't always happen.
Photos by me with my Sony a6000 with Sigma 30mm lens.
Wide angle taken with my GoPro Hero 7.
Big thanks to Ganztucking for always showing up in the comments section, lol.
Have an awesome #beersaturday y'all
