Hello Hivers! I intended to tell a basic narrative about having some beers with cousin and father-in-law.
Checking on my coconut trees to see if they were ready for harvest, I was out in the countryside. The day was sweltering hot, and after talking to my relatives, I thought several cold beers would be just right. I asked my cousin to pick some from the neighborhood shop.
It was more about spending time with him than about becoming drunk—the basic delight of good company and a cool drink. As they arrived, the beers that were ice-cold felt so good! That first sip on a hot day, full of special feeling! There we were, three-sharing daily activities about ourselves, work, family, the usual things. It was eerily fun to just talk about stuff in that laid-back way, the type of conversation that happens when you're comfortable and actually like the people you're talking to. What was meant to be just two bottles ended up being more, and the conversation flowed easily, naturally bringing laughter.
Before we realized it, we were still in for another round! The cold beer just made everything feel even better! For me, beer is way beyond just being an alcoholic beverage. It is a social lubricant, a great means of relaxation, and a catalyst for fun. It's a drink that's been enjoyed for the last 10,000 years, during celebrations and ordinary life, in all possible cultures.
Thank you for all your support!
