Today I wanted to marvel that I was able to take down two beers for this #beersaturday event! Lol
A Two Beer Beer Saturday
Last week I was just talking with my friend @knowhow92 and how I was really limited to only one beer in an evening before I make a mistake and getting drunk and end up feeling like shit the following day lol
The little man and I went rock climbing last weekend and one of the things that was a result was that I guess my body needed some extra calories to refresh how many I burned climbing. I cracked my first beer when we got home and was drinking it but not really feeling anything from it. That's happened to me usually when I do something very physical like the rock climbing we were partaking in.
I was able to slug this bad Larry down! It was delicious indeed. One of the cool things about it was that it was a New England IPA and it had some pretty wild ingredients, mandarina is a hell of a delicious batch of hops! I was thinking that it had mandarin orange in it lol but that's not the case I guess which is fine. The beer was still great! It went down smooth. This was actually the second beer I had in the night, I'm glad that I ended with this one because it was a little stronger than the first one I cracked open.
The beer here was one of those purchases where I bought it because I wanted to try and step outside my comfort zone a bit and get some different beers. I don't really drink lagers too often but the can got me on this one, it looked too good! It was also brewed with lime and that's one of my favorite things, a nice slice of lime!
The beer certainly didn't have a strong lime flavor because that would be difficult to manage in a beer but it was pretty damn good!
Having been an IPA drinker, I was really surprised by the lager look here haha. It's been really long since I've drank a beer that was so clear! I poured it out and was like whoa this looks like a Coors light almost hahaha. The foam head on it was also almost non-existent! I enjoyed the beer though for sure. This was the one I started it off with and shit this thing down down in like 4 gulps! I know the alcohol content was lower than other beers but it was super easy to drink. I think that's what I don't like too much about it, it's not got a lot of flavor and other important elements that I look for in beers these days. A beer for me is almost like a little meal. I have one and it's supposed to last me for a while!
Nothing bad to say about this beer though, it tasted smooth and wasn't harsh, and I would certainly pick it up if I needed to do some day drinking for some odd reason lol but that sounds more like a miserable experience than anything. I'm past my day drinking days at this point haha.
I definitely enjoyed this #beersaturday, these were two solid choices! Different ends of the spectrum and that's one of the fun parts!
