Beery times in December - Day 10
This year my family created such a wonderful Xmas beer calendar from me.
I'm so happy about this that I had to post every day a beer. Even better, I have to taste it before...
This means, each day of the cold and dark @detlev get some light and warm feelings by searching for another beer from that big green Box.

The Beer
Lucifer is another award winning Belgium Beer I like to show you
Aged? Many beers have a long maturation, but this one has only 24-36 months in oak barrels.
Pale? This beer has an old gold to bronze color, rather than the burgundy more common in the breweries of West Flanders. This is the ‘mother beer,’ used in various quantities to blend with the other Petrus beers, and to give them their unique and very distinctive taste. This mother beer is rather sour with a bite like the best Brut Champagnes.

Hazy dark brown color with beige head. Aroma of plums, prunes, other dried fruits, dark malt, caramel.
Taste, sweet dark malt, plums, prunes, light coffee, raisins, nuts, some spices.

How does this new DIY calendar work?
It is so simple and cool as well.
My family know what I love and the found a big old box wich they painted in green color. Then they filled with some smooth stuff.
I think they „borrowed“ it from the rabbits from our friends house. As you see, even the cats helped with some work. They did the nice “patina“ to the green color.
