Beery times in December - Day 15
This year my family created such a wonderful Xmas beer calendar from me.
Getting each day a new beer out of the box is a lot of work. Sadly, somebody has to taste the beer.....
This means, each day of the cold and dark @detlev get some light and warm feelings by searching for another beer from that big green Box.
15.th of December beer - Archivist brune
Another cool name for a beer from my xmas calendar.
Now we have to dig even a bit deeper into the green box (where the paint is already going off).

Look what I found while searching for this beer.

It is made from "somebody" for Lidl Belgium.
Some a nice reviews
A brown beer with medium head. Nose is on yeast and toasted caramel. Aroma is nice on dark candy sugar, sweet and Belgian yeast, no real toasted malt there so I suppose all brown notes comes with the candy sugar. Anyway pleasant dubble like.
Pours clear copper with a lasting, small, unstable, tan head; little lacing. Aroma of caramel, candi sugar, industrial pancake syrup, cookie dough, energy drink (RedBull), soggy brown bread, vague medicin, caramelised popcorn, winegums. Taste is medium to heavy sugary sweet, pure caramel & syrup with more sugar on top, very industrial & candy-like; 'countered' - so to speak - by a very light spicy bitterness that has faint licorice, herbs & medicin (Coca-Cola's secret spices or something like that?). Very sugary finish, caramel, vague herbal hops, some brown rum-like alcohol. Medium body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Simply put, this is bad, but what irritates me the most is that disgusting marketing text on the bottle labeling this as an 'authentic' beer (and indeed, the fact that no brewer is mentioned).

How does this new DIY calendar work?
It is so simple and cool as well.
My family know what I love and the found a big old box wich they painted in green color. Then they filled with some smooth stuff.
I think they „borrowed“ it from the rabbits from our friends house. As you see, even the cats helped with some work. They did the nice “patina“ to the green color.
A potential thief at my beer?
This dangerous animal try to steal my beer. But I was quickly calling for help and a someone came to fight it.
