Greetings Beer Lovers!🍻🍺
I woke up as early as 4:00 am on a Saturday morning. I quickly logged into my Zealy account to see if there were any pending tasks, and behold, it's a #beersaturday challenge. Wow!
Immediately I saw that, my throat became tasty and I was clamouring for a gulp. I got up and quickly reached for my refrigerator, only to see it empty. My younger brother, who came around yesterday, exhausted the two bottles I had left.
There's no other way than to wait for the day to brighten up for the bar to open so I could easily go and buy and quench my thirst.
You know how you feel when you're hungry and someone calls you to inform you that he's bringing food for you... That was exactly my reaction this morning. My stomach, my throat, and my mouth were all out; my whole system was anticipating the bear swallow.
My area here is not like other big cities where activities of the day kick off at 4:00 a.m.; no, we have to wait till 7:00 a.m. or so.
I finally waited, and as soon as I began to hear the noise of people, I brushed, wore my clothes, and walked to the bar close to my house.
"Do you have Star Raddler?" I asked for my favourite.
"No, we ran out yesterday," the waiter responded.
"Haa! Which one do you have?"
"We have Life, Gulder, Export 33, and..."
"Please bring one bottle of Life Beer," I interrupted because I couldn't wait any longer.
He went in and brought a bottle of it without a glass or opener.
"Where's the glass? Where's the opener?" I said it with a slightly loud voice.
"Here," he said, dropping them on the table.
I rushed in, opened it, and poured into the glass. The aroma fused into my nose, and I felt very special.
I gulped with ease, well relaxed, and fed my eyes with people who were rushing to work (even on a Saturday) on the road. I know they must have seen me as a "not serious person" for drinking beer as early as that time.
That was it.
This is my entry to #beersaturday.
